I’m not sure that was a collapse.
But getting beat by Michigan again and not having even a B1G title to show for the last 2 seasons has the fans restless. That beatdown by ALABAMA left the folks in a bad mood to start with. It just hasn't got any better. I think Ryan Day really needs to find a defense, but when you play offense this way it will be hard.

For me it was because he was one of the main ones riding USC 2003-2005 and helped USC "split" the natty with LSU. He then had a ten day lead up to the 2005 national championship where every day listed his top 10 teams of all time and how they would stack up against USC. He then said USC is the greatest team ever only for them to lose to Texas.

Buckeye fans still live in the 1990s as a whole. I wasn't a fan growing up as I grew up in TX but went there on scholarship.
They think losing to Michigan is seriously the worst thing possible in the world. They have no perspective for anything else.
If OSU beat UGA (and everyone can admit they were right in it and were damn good in that game), then they would have won a national title, yet people still are saying "he better not lose to Michigan again"
