Carolina Girl inspired this thread, but has offered nothing else of value.

Alot of fans prefer their own QB over Manziel, so to make this poll more fair, let's pretend your current QB left for the NFL or just got arrested and thrown off the team for playing grabass in a Valdosta bar and fight with cops, or whatever, make something up.

Pretend:

Your team has no QB, and no noteworthy D-linemen.

Do you take Manziel at QB and take your chances with a new recruit at DE?

Do you take Clowney and take your chances with a new recruit at QB?

I'll be keeping score and updating the OP.

Same rules as the Worst Fanbase topic a couple of months ago...If I have to read more than 3 sentences to figure out what your pick is, I'm skipping it.

Scores (currently updated through Page 8)

Manziel- 25
Clowney- 33

Begin.

Clowney

It's easier to plug in a QB into a system.

Only one of them plays the most important position on the field and can win a game single handedly. Manziel everyday

A bit of a thread hijack here but I still can't believe the SEC stalled on the schedule making and didn't get our series with A&M going. This was the only season they could have had a Manziel vs Clowney matchup. Imagine how easy billing that would've been?

Oh and since all the A&M fans are going to try to bias their QB into a win I vote Clowney.

Both teams were blown out by LSU and FL last year... something else to think about. Apples to Apples... which player had the bigger impact or lack of impact against the same opponents.

Manzier, because there are 3 to 4 D linemen on the field at once, and only 1 QB. If that D lineman sucks the other 3 can manage, but if that QB suck you're fricked.

I'll take a heisman winning qb, that set sec records as a fr., beat the champs on the road over any defensive end in college football history. Importance of qb position>>>>>>>>de

Tell that to the 2006 Arkansas squad. Casey Dick was the QB and they still went 10-4. RB's and defense can cover up a QB. Just ask LSU and Bama.

Not sure about blown out. If you're being fair it's obviously manziel. No way a d lineman affects the game the same way a qb does. This is a stupid question.

Since we already have Manziel, I'd take Clowney.
