I do not entertain hypotheticals. The world is vexing enough as it is.

34-3 going into trash time, clown!

This was with many gifts from a cursed uga offense. That’s the main difference between 2019/20 uga and 21/22 uga.

UGA avenged the one loss we had that season by trashing Bama.

LSU didn’t have to avenge a three score loss because they didn’t lose in the first place in a defacto home game with the SEC on the line.

LSU came into Bryant-Denny with the President in the stands and outplayed Bama for four quarters winning by two scores.

This is an open and closed discussion LSU east answer

It's a question without an answer.
These topics can be fun to debate, but anyone claiming that they know with certainty who would win a game between two teams that can never meet is foolish.
I can say that I think, as a Georgia fan, that 2019 LSU would likely beat 2021 Georgia. However, I also think that 2022 Georgia would likely beat 2019 LSU. That's what I think, but I would never assert that what I think is the truth.
Because, the truth is, it's all subjective and a question that can't be answered.

The real truth is, cfb is a 'here and now' sport whether any of us will admit it or not. The only reason LSU fans keep throwing up the 2019 NC team or Bama keeps throwing up it's storied past is because they're unhappy that UGA is on top and they need something to hold on too.
The longer it goes without their team being on top, the more ancient these things become. That's the way CFB ages. After UGA won it's 2nd NC, talking about that 2019 LSU NC game? You might as well have been talking about Moses parting the Red sea. If KS wins 3 in a row, all of Saban's accomplishments will predate the Dinosaurs to everyone except the most avid Bama fans, and even some of them will start grumbling about Saban. They're already doing that now!
Don't believe me? I guarantee you, if Smart wins 3 in a row, they'll be building a statue to him on campus. But let him follow that up with 2 losing season, like what happened to Ed O, and see if he doesn't lose his job.

There is no defense ever fielded that is stopping 2019 LSU’s offense by the end of the season more than a handful of times in a game.

Stopping them a handful of times might be enough to beat them.

I would go with 2019 LSU. They were 40-26, 17-13 and even though they lost to FSU at home in the Supers, 2021 Georgia didn’t make the NCAA tournament.

Now 2020 Georgia was superior to 2019 LSU imo. That team was stacked with pitching and hitting.

For teams with truly elite offenses, they might win a shootout; but the 2019 LSU defense wasn’t bad by the end of the season either.

tbh this isn’t a dig at 2021 UGA, but I think it’s more likely they lose this game on a neutral field by 2+ TDs than it is they win. It’s just not a good matchup for them. Their main weakness on defense was shown to be their secondary in the SECCG and 2019 LSU would absolutely light them up. They also aren’t an offense I’d take to win a shootout.

If every year all teams were equal this would be a fine argument. But they aren't, and it isn't.

Seems like the only folks who think 2021 Georgia wins this hypothetical matchup are Georgia fans.

And even all of them aren't sold.

No way. Y'all told us after 2021 that it would be another 42 years before we won another. Well....we won one the next year. By y'alls logic we will win championships every year going forward. You can't have it both ways.

Now, that said, I think what he said makes sense because y'all still talk about "that time we beat Georgia two years in a row!"

I think probably 2019 LSU would beat 2021 Georgia. Probably. I don't think there is any way to prove it or be certain, and I certainly don't think it owuld be as lopsided as some lSU fans seem to be claiming.

2022 Georgia is a totally different story, though. That team might have beaten 2019 LSU. Again. No way to prove or be certain about it.

I agree that 2022 Georgia has a better chance than 2021 Georgia.

I'm not sold. I try to be honest and fair. I think 2019 LSU would beat 2021 Georgia. I am not so sure about 2019 and 2022 Georgia, though. A much more interesting topic, imo. Not one I intend to discuss, though. It simply does not solve anything and nobody can prove their point and certainly nobody is going to change anybody's mind.

But 2022 Georgia was a better overall team than 2021 Georgia.
A more complete team.

A much closer and all around better game. I wish they could meet on the field. But they can't. It would be a great game to watch, though. Lots of heart attacks in the stands, I would guess.

ETA
I should say that I am not saying 2022 Georgia would beat 2019 LSU. Simply no way of knowing. Both were fun teams to watch and deserved to be champions.
