I would love to see Ali vs Mike Tyson at their prime. MJ vs LeBron. Nolan Ryan pitching to Babe Ruth. We can guess at the result. But we'll never truly know.

Wow. Those would be epic matchups. All we can do is speculate and guess....but we should all admit that those were great matchups and 2019 LSU and 2022 were exceptional teams.

Georgia would score a few points but Joe Burrow would score more.

Playing in the Orange Bowl on January 1st, all players healthy including Pickens, and UGA has 2021 Kirby/Monken vs 2019 Shrimp Boat/Brady. Yeah UGA wins that one, but it’s close

22 UGA would be a better match up. Much more complete team.

Prove it. Not saying he wouldn't. Not saying he would. I am saying you have no way of knowing. If you do, then prove it.

That was the second game of the season. Don't forget GA barely beat an awful Clemson team early in the season. Come playoff time, LSU would boat race that GA team.

That's as easy as YOU proving that 2021 Georgia would win.

2019 LSU would run 2021 Georgia's butt out the stadium.

I think it'd been a lot like UGA/OSU last year....high scoring game that could've gone either way. There is no comparison between Burrow and Bennett but the same can be said between Smart and Coach O, lovable character that he is....If they played 10 times LSU might win 6.

Is this the birth of a rivalry? I don't think that can happen, though I would like it.

UGA always needs more rivals...we only have about 5 at the moment.

LSU, which I do like, only seems to have rivals when they are close to being worth a shite.

Well, since I have said several times in this thread that I think 2019 LSU would beat 2021 Georgia......I am guessing you just decided to come into a thread without reading and attack?

Try reading before posting.

Nope.

See how easy it is to just make a blanket statement with no way of backing it up?

Your statement carries as much weight as if I had said: "2022 Georgia would run 2019 LSU's butt out the stadium."

Both are just as valid and both are just as unproveable. But yeah, you would take it as a fact because it was said on a message board.

UGA would destroy LSU, here are just some the reasons why...

Back to back national champions, most points in championship history, biggest blowout in championship history, biggest blowout in any bowl ever, top 5 offense and defense, beat 7 ranked teams, Average: +29.4 Scoring Margin against final top 25 teams(which is the highest of all time) all this in a rebuild year after losing 15 players to the draft and 13 to the portal. Best of all time and it's not even close!!!

I'd take the balance of UGA 2022 over LSU 2019. LSU's offense in 2019 was incredible, but the defense wasn't that great. The offense covered it up.

UGA 2021 vs LSU 2019 would be a tough call. It would likely come down to the line play. If Burrow got time, UGA would likely lose.

But UGA 2022 was nearly as good defensively but had much better offensive ability. I think UGA wins in that matchup because they actually could score with LSU and had enough defense to get key stops.
