If we will freakin run and play in transition like we are capable of we win this game. I'm really nervous about it and wouldn't be surprised to see a loss tonight.

This is what frustrates me. Ideally we should push the tempo on offense as we need the extra possessions because of our poor shooting. The problem is that despite going 8 or 9 deep we wear down too easily. I'm getting a little tired of our unwillingness to put pressure on the defense but continuosly taking it to the basket instead of dribbling around the perimeter and chunking up a shot with less than 10 on the shot clock.

look for Steele to step up big tonight

if he can't get anything going then Auburn can drag Alabama into the foul fest they did in both games last year

We need Steele, Hankerson and Jacobs all to come up big tonight. If Bama outrebounds AU, I think they win. Both teams are challenged offensively, with our 3 point shooting % hovering around 27%. Releford usually plays well against AU, Bama will need his best effort tonight.

Does anyone know if Mitchell going to be at the game?

Bama has to take care of the ball and not give up live ball turnovers that lead to easy baskets.

so they will talk trash and try to ruin our NCAA chanes because that's the only thing they really have left to hang their hat on

and if the roles were reversed, you know that your team and fanbase would do the same damned thing - so saying what I quoted was a worthless thing to type.

Shame. I was hoping Grant could show him what defense looks like.

Time to see how loud this little 9,000 fan Arena can get when it's packed to the brim. Auburn by a little if Bama puts up a fight or a lot if they fold like a cheap tent. We almost won with our horrible team this year. We are much better this year.

Do Auburn and Bama hate each other in Bball or is it more only a football thing?

I can't get up the same way for a bball game as I can for a football game but i still hate Michigan

Hate is still there. Magnified when the football winner plays its home basketball game, and has a trophy presentation at halftime. Students provide some amusing and unusual cheers. Colorful to say the least.

Yes but it isn't anywhere near the same level.

If you thought his attitude is bad now you should see him trying to master the game of golf. You have to be very tough mentally to be any good at golf and I don't think his pouty disposition would improve playing such a mentally taxing game.

Auburn and Bama fans would hate each other in a pie eating contest. However, the hate is derived from and stems almost exclusively from the football rivalry.
