re: Who wins the Georgia vs LSU game in Athens on September 28 ?

Can't really pick being that THE SEASON HASN'T EVEN STARTED. But for now you have to give the edge to Murray in his home stadium. Kid is pretty damn solid

I don't forget. It's easy to forget that McCarron threw a bad back shoulder pass into the end zone which was picked off. It's easy to forget that Alabama was a few seconds off from converting on a 4th down from a fake kick. Afterwards, Georgia used a fake kick to convert on 4th down. Georgia needed a fluke blocked field goal that shouldn't have occurred. Replay shows that the McCarron's pass wasn't tipped at the line of scrimmage, so the pass interference call should have stood. Saban's timeout mismanagement was the difference between a field goal and a touchdown at the end of the first half. Do you see now? That's 14 points that Georgia cannot count on getting if this game was played over again, and 11 or so points that Alabama left off the board.

I'd also like to remind you that Florida had a better defense than Alabama. Might facing the SEC's greatest secondary have played a role in Murray's performance against Florida? I think so.

Nebraska was way overrated. You said you beat them handily, but the game was tied at the end of the 3rd, and Murray had thrown a pick 6. Nebraska's #1 pass defense was overrated too. If you want to see Nebraska beaten handily, then look at their games versus Ohio State and Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship.

Neither team should be scared of the other. LSU fans here as a whole appear to respect Georgia and this game, but on the other hand, those favoring Georgia aren't paying LSU enough respect. Georgia may win this game, but that won't change the fact that the LSU program is significantly better than the Georgia program. Georgia won't close that gap until they beat more legit, highly ranked teams and bring home at least 2 BCS National Championships, 1 for consideration.

I've heard that South Carolina struggles on the road, but they should be better than the team that beat you 35-7 last year. Spurrier knows how to get his team ready for Georgia, and I trust that they will be. Will Richt get outcoached for the 4th year straight?

You're talking in circles, what happened in 2010, 2011, and 2012 literally (outside of recruiting) has no bearing on what happens this year.

And I realize that we replace a ton on defense as well. I addressed that with my first post. In the second post that you just quoted I was speaking on LSU compared to UF, Carolina, and Clemson, providing reasoning like you asked. I never denied anywhere that we have a lot to replace on defense.

We lose to UGA, in Athens, but beat them in Atlanta.

Wow. Mettenberger was 14/23 for 120 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT against the Clemson defense, and you SERIOUSLY want to talk about Murray?

Also, he was 11/29 for 97 yards and 1 TD against A&M?

12/25 148 yards 0 TD 1INT against South carolina

11/25 158 yards 0TD 1INT against Florida

15/27 169yards 0TD 0INT against Auburn

Don't you just love how the Georgia fan leaves out the Alabama and Ole Miss performances?

Maybe we should bring up Murray's performances against South Carolina (blowout loss) and Florida (near miss).

Your team wins in spite of your quarterback, period. Trouble is...much of that team that was winning in spite of your quarterback is gone, and your quarterback is still there.

Look. LSU has a great team. Very few teams have done what LSU has done over the past 5 years. You will have a very good team this year, and it will only get better over the next few years. However, Georgia is catching LSU at the right time. (My opinion) I think we win this year.....but I have been known to be wrong before!
