Ole Miss. No RB. Spotty OL. Injured WR may be psyched. Thug QB. Lost defensive starters.

Having a bad injury like Treadwell did will mess with your mind. You'll be so worried about re-injuring it that your performance is hindered. Also, please tell me about your RBs and OL.

you're seriously high if you think Arkansas has the least chance to finish last in the west, especially after losing Williams. Yes, I am aware LSU lost to Arkansas last year, but Arkansas still finished last in the west and just lost one of its biggest, and only, producers on offense.

The margin between West teams is so thin injuries will make or break who ends up where.

I am just guessing Ole Miss because it seemed like last year was Freeze's year in the sun. It could be anyone though.

We talkin about RBs yo...Williams is great, but Collins will get more carries and the other 2 will fill in. If we would have lost Allen or Brooks Ellis, I would be concerned.

RBs are plug-n-play in the SEC

It will be Ole Miss due to injuries. This is a strange trend I've been seeing on tRant. Why have people begun to predict injuries?

ive noticed the trend as well, and it seems to come from fans of teams that are used to being near the top of the conference standings, with the lone exception being arky fans. Im of a mind to think that maybe they have scanned the ole miss roster and figured out that the best way to beat them is if they are gutted with injuries like last season. who knows, but it is quite bizarre.

I know it is a fall camp report, but we're hearing good things about our offensive line this fall.

We have a top five pick at left tackle and the most experienced offensive line in the SEC in terms of starts. I'm not saying they will be Alabama 2012 level, but they should be a solid, perhaps top half unit in the conference.

So this is going to be the arguement for Arkansas finishing last? Did you forget we have another 1,000 yard 5 star RB in AC3? And 2 very capable backs to give him a break? AC3 will probably win the heisman this season now since he doesn't have to share carries.

it's not really bizarre, it's just part of the nature of football. injuries happen. it's the teams deep enough to play through losing key players that are able to sustain success. that's why you see fans of teams used to be near the top saying it. they know it takes more than a few big name starters to win in this conference. programs like ole miss still have a ways to go in that regard, but many of their fans are blinded by it. you'd think losing a guy like treadwell in the blink of an eye would make it kind of obvious, but apparently not

The difference is that the teams at the top of the conference standings are also the teams at the top of the recruiting classes... and better equipped in the 'next man up' philosophy than those at the bottom of the conference standings.

The only position I would be truly afraid of an injury is at MLB... we have taken 1 in the last 2 recruiting classes.
