He turned the Texas job down, so while disappointed, I'm not shocked about this. We will hire a big name guy. I just hope it's a guy that's had a lot of recent success.

I highly doubt this was because of anything Cohen didn't do, this guy has demonstrated time and again that he's locked in at TCU. In all honesty, I'd bet this was a family decision.

This is why I don’t pay too much attention to MB’s where coaching searches are concerned.
Until it is on paper and the ink is dry it is nothing but speculation.
So I am not surprised by this
Honestly I am more into what the team is doing right now in TLH. The coaching search will take care of itself in due time.

If South Carolina couldnt pull these guys no way in hell MSU does. MSU a great program but isnt in a hotbed for recruiting have nowhere the history of South Carolina.

If I were Cohen, I'd hire Matt Bragga from Tennessee tech. Tennessee should've hired him, and now is your chance. He is going to be a star, Andy could afford a pitching coach at MSU.

I like TT’s coach a lot. If there is a silver lining, it’s that Cohen has been on this search since February, so I’m sure he has more than one backup options given the Schloss fallout. I’m not gonna panic about him taking his name out until we see who we hire. I mean hell, McDonnell could still be on the table.
