Well, thank goodness Eaux has been much more successful in that area.
This is his third full season. How many years was Les at LSU ? O was smart enough to get Burrow because there was nothing on the roster that was game ready. Who's fault was it that qb recruiting and development had fallen so low ?

Gotta love the ATVS Comedian !!

You hired a coach that got fired from Ole Miss for winning about 3 games
You have only one agenda in this thread and that is to bash our coach no matter what factual information anyone else who is actually a LSU fan can provide for you. So frick you and good luck with that.
I think O is doing an exceptional job at this point and I am looking forward to seeing how well we play this fall.

Its a no pressure job with decent pay. They only expect about 3 or 4 wins there and they’re happy.

There has been no factual information that warrants thinking Ed is going to be any better than the last guy you fired. I don't think either deserve to be fired and I don't have a problem with Ed. I am simply pointing out the hypocrisy with your idiot fan base.

Then he won't be on the hot seat and he will surprise everyone in the country. I'll be semi happy for the guy. This is a hot seat thread though, and we are discussing what would happen if certain coaches have BAD years, not win 11 games. If Ed has another year that LSU fans considered bad under Miles (but apparently don't consider bad under this coaching staff), then why does he get the benefit of the doubt after the 3rd year? I agree that he should be fine and should not be fired. I'm telling you that your fan base is using 2 different standards for 2 different coaches.

LSU has done absolutely zero to make anyone think that they are any better than where they were during the entire Les Miles tenure since Ed has taken over. What the frick have you been watching? LSU was a statistical anomaly last year. The offense looks exactly like it always has and the defense is still really good like it always is. You also don't even know how to spell potato, so calling someone a retard is quite ironic.

Miles was fired for losing to everyone not named Bama.

This is already been spelled out for you.
You're a brick wall. I'm not wasting my time arguing with someone as block-headed as you.

That makes 2 absolutely incorrect statements that you have made. I'm beginning to understand that you don't know alot about our program other than the name of our coach.

The "spelled out" version that was given in this thread is really weak. Just because someone gives you an answer doesn't mean that you have to accept that answer as rational or a good decision.

These kind of posts are so weak. Give some real reasoning or data to support your "theory". He's done nothing more than Miles, even at the end of Miles' tenure. He isn't recruiting any better overall. He hasn't had a better record. The only thing I've heard in this thread is that I'm an idiot for having this opinion and he is recruiting DL better than the last staff (that staff landed 4 top 200 prospects on the DL on their last signing day as I'm sure you know). So let's hear all of these reasons that I just don't understand. You're all acting like Ed is taking over for some arse clown that didn't win anything. He didn't replace a coach at Mississippi State. He didn't replace a coach at Ole Miss. He didn't replace a coach at Vandy. He replaced a coach at one of the premier colleges in the country and has won 9 games in his first 2 regular seasons. That is not terrible at all and not any better than the last guy.
He changed his offense in year one and it was a terrible fit. He went back to what he knew last year and it was very average. I mean yea, he's changing the offense but it's the same results.

I am a hog fan stuck in northern LA. Trust me, O isn't going anywhere. He fits the LSU program like a tailored made suit. Objectively speaking, he is a pretty good coach. A true motivator the players love and, consequently, they fight hard for him. That is a recipe for success when you are able to recruit as well as he does. With that said, he is like Houston Nutt on steroids.

Take away the from Louisiana part and you just described Les Miles.

Culture fit means a lot here. To be more specific, he was raised in Larose, LA. He will get longer leash than Miles because of this IMO.
