For Georgia, Johnny Griffith. Was sandwiched between Wally Butts and Vince Dooley. Not controversial at all, but far from a good coach. Got fired and went into the construction business the next day and got rich. I don't think his name was printed in the sports section of the paper ever again. I'm envious, to be frank about it.

Mike Sherman. Lost games he shouldn’t in the 2nd halves of games. Defenses were always bad. Best/one hell of an OL coach, god damn

Other Georgia fans arguing over Donnan and Goff…. Best worst would have to be one of the best men to ever walk this earth. No one has done less with more at UGA than Mark Richt. He had great players and great teams. He was in the cusp of a natty a few times. Mark Richt’s teams almost always lost the biggest most important doctor die games. He was the best of the worst and he setup UGA for this tear that Kirby’s dawgs are on right now.

Definitely Mike Sherman for A&M. Standup guy by all accounts. Phenomenal eye for talent.
Inherited a program in absolute shambles after Fran torpedoed everything. Rebuilt the program, rebuilt relationship with high school programs all over Texas that had cut us off under Fran, built A&M a solid top to bottom roster with a monster oline (which ended up being Sumlin's 2012 team). Basically rebuilt the whole football program.
But dude just could not win the games. Horrible game day coach who could not make second half adjustments to save his life. Blew LOTS of leads in second half collapses.
