Maybe one day Freeze can get back to his glory days where he won 10 games that one season.
Of course, that came with losses to teams like Memphis, Arkansas and a 4 loss Florida team.
But that's obviously the sign of a coach that's going places.
He did manage to beat Alabama after Ole Miss benefited from a bunch of fluke plays like balls bounces off helmets etc. That must be what Auburn sees in him.

No matter the poor choice the AD made getting Harsin, firing Malzahn was the right thing to do. He wasn’t making any adjustments to his philosophy. It was way worse giving gus such a sizable raise to keep him.
Freeze is doing a nice job of recruiting and needs to take a nice leap forward this season. Firing Malzahn was not a frick up no matter how much you wish it to be.

Gus was the coach at Auburn and it's not a time period in which Alabama is sucking. I don't know what you think you're going to get.
I don't remember Gus being bad at recruiting.
2018 - 12th, 90.22 average.
2019 - 11th, 91.35 average and 2 5 stars
2020 - 7th, 91.11 average
2024 - 10th 92.10 average, 1 5 star
2025 - 5th 91.98 average, 0 5 star, but your class is likely to finish around 8th or 9th based on average).
It's not Harsin levels and that's good for Auburn. But overall recruiting seems to be comparable.
And I don't remember Freeze ever having a good philosophy to start with. Unless you count your QB throwing up balls they shouldn't and being fortunate with fluke plays as a philosophy. Without that win he never even has a single 10 win season at Ole Miss.
He recruited well at Ole Miss, but only because they were cheating their asses off, so all but 10 of his wins were vacated.
And he was only winning 8 games a season at Liberty. Did nothing to improve them. Meanwhile, he has only a single losing season at Auburn so far.
You say it was a poor choice in hiring Harsin, but Freeze gets a lot of hype based on a game he won by pure luck and doesn't really have anything of note otherwise.
Where does Freeze have this winning philosophy that Gus was lacking?

I agree with this. I was hanging with a couple of Auburn buddies when the news broke. They were split on the decision. I thought Malzahn plateaued at Auburn, recruiting wasn't up to par, and they made the wise decision to bite the bullet and try to build off his success. However, the whole process was kind of a mess. Sounded like they whiffed on who they thought they could get at the top of their list and made a panic hire with Harsin, which I feel like they immediately regretted. It was weird. Hindsight, yeah probably should still be at Auburn but if they had a proper plan in place then who knows what couldn't happened. I don't see much of a difference between Malzahn and Freeze, except Freeze is a better recruiter, just felt like a long detour to basically get back to where they started.

As an Alabama fan, you’re not wrong on Gus. He was always classy and his offense was nearly impossible to stop for several years.
Whatever else I thought about Gus, the truth is I hated playing him. Regardless of whatever Auburn had done prior to the Iron Bowl, he had Auburn playing like the Packers or some such when they played us, especially at JHS. That's the highest complement I can give an opposing coach.

This just proves what a simpleton you are, and makes me ashamed I even responded to you to begin with. Sigh

Ok, what is his winning philosophy and when will he reveal it to the world?
He's a good recruiter as long as you can buy recruits.
Number of season Hugh Freeze has had with less than 5 losses since taking over at Ole Miss?
4, which is 40%. so most seasons he doesn't manage more than 8 wins.
Two of them were at Liberty, and the other two were vacated.
Number of seasons with less than 4 losses? 1, also vacated.
And obviously, none better than 3 unless you want to count his 1 year at Arkansas St.

Tubberville? Look at this list of misfits since then:
Chizik, Malzahn, Harsin, Freeze. All of them either gimmicky, incompetent, or complete garbage humans, sometimes all 3 at once.
Tubberville make the pine box statement. That was a gut punch for ole miss but if he got a raise then most of us would do the same. Chizik nor malzahn didnt do anything dirty I recall. Harsin had a coed affair and freeze hired some hookers. Not great but not that crazy terrible in the land of millionaires. I'd say freeze speaking the holier than thou rhetoric while hiring hookers was probably the worst but that was like 10 years ago. If his family can forgive him why do you give a shite. You just hate them having a good coach, call it what it is.

Your copium dosage seems pretty high, maybe cut back to one gallon a day?

Go cry to the NCAA who vacated 27 of his 37 wins while he was at Ole Miss for cheating.
But yeah, great recruiter.

Is Freeze working on how to win this game against New Mexico since he got out coached at home against New Mexico State. Yikes!

You choked and lost to Harsin in 2022. Got blistered 51-14 in 2017. In 2013 it was over at halftime. Your only win was 1973.

Hugh Freeze has never beat Missouri in a football game, he's 0-1

Pat Dye was a drunken convicted NCAA cheat.
Now Tubberville is an absolute embarrassment in the Senate.
Shug was also a convicted NCAA cheat who only won the SEC one time.
Pathetic.
