I personally don't hate either team and can't figure it out.

I usually cheer for the underdog in a situation like this but Alabama being an underdog doesn't sit right with me.

Very confusing situation.

In before "the stadium to implode" because I will be in said stadium and would appreciate not dying

Shocked if everyone is not on the Georgia bandwagon besides maybe FL?

Should be Bama so the conference gets more money.

A large-scale plumbing problem that results in the bleachers being flooded with sewage

Allegiances aside, this is actually a smart take.

It didn’t sit right with Tide fans either - so they became Georgia fans

Most everyone will cheer for Bama. Another Bama title - meh.

A UGA title - jealousy and the 1980 jokes go away.

There are very few teams in the SEC I would root for over Bama if the shoe were on the other foot.

I'm rooting for chaos this weekend. Georgia beats Alabama, Baylor beats Oklahoma State, Utah beats Oregon again, Iowa beats Michigan, Cincinnati beats Houston. That would leave:

Undefeated Georgia
Undefeated Cincinnati
3 loss Pac 12 Champ
2 loss teams from P5 conferences (plus Notre Dame): Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Iowa, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Pitt/Wake

What does the final 4 look like if that happens?

If they use "1980" you're about to gain some fans.

That would be awesome. You know it would be ND and Bama or OSU though.

Would the smell in the stands even change?

Auburn fans won't be for Georgia, either.

Alabama being an underdog

Last time Bama was an underdog was against Georgia in 2015. After that game the Georgia coach said: I hope were not favored against them again. Apparently it just pisses them off (or words to that effect).

The only answer should be bama and that would be for the sec to have two teams in again and obviously the money.

Now what would be great irony would be for bama and ok lite to lose, letting in ND and for them to go on and win the NC w/o bk. Lose to cincy with him, win it all without him.....

Why does the conference get more money if Alabama wins?

Cheer for Bama. Y'all can't have 1980 go away.

Definitely Georgia. Bama has had more than enough of their share of the meat.

Payouts to teams in the playoffs get disbursed to the conference.

Even with it making more sense to pull for bama, I want to see uga run the table.
