Beck is the number 2 but also wasn’t a big recruit

Vandergriff was a top 12 overall 5 star. Who do y’all think wins the job? One of them or someone that’s not on the roster?

Stockton! Truth be told teh QB room is loaded, zero reason to go otuside the program. The key will be does any of that talent transfer.

Beck was Mr Football for the state of Florida as a junior. He lost all of his team talent his senior year and his recruiting ranking plummeted.

He has all of the tools. The question is how he handles pressure.

Vandagriff and Stockton offer mobility options for Monken that Beck doesn't provide. Both have rockets on their shoulders, so they can make the throws that Beck makes.

It will be a true competition, and it will be up to the Coaches to identify which QB can create big plays when the line isn't there or who can prevent the worst plays under tough circumstances.

I think Beck will start.
He earned a starting position by staying with the team and learning the offense.
Beck is more the 6'4" NFL prototype QB with limited mobility.
Stockton is more like Bennett as a dual-threat.
I prefer a dual-threat QB so I will be glad to see Stockton take over the offense when the time comes.

His mobility struck me as on the higher end for a “pocket passer” the few times he’s kept the ball this year. He’s at least not a statue.

He is not mobility limited. I do think he starts. Sec fans are gonna hate whoever it is.

He's not a statue. But he's not a runner.

Maybe compare his mobility to Stafford.
He can surprise you because nothing is expected from his legs.

But he doesn't have the reputation for putting a free runner/defender on broken ankles.

Here was his 247 eval re. his running

Fiery, competitive player willing to get physical as a runner if needed. Quicker than appearance suggests with good instincts on the move as a runner. I

Little known facts:

Jake Fromm, who decommitted from Bama, is the only reason they ended up with Tua.

Carson Beck, who decommitted from Bama, is the only reason they ended up with Bryce Young.

Lol

What do you think they are trying to say?

Hell, I compared his mobility to Matt Stafford. Are you taking offense to that?

I've seen Stafford break off a 50+ yard run.

No no not at all, you took it wrong. Don’t be so on edge. It was just an added tidbit that wasn’t contrary to what you said, IMO

At least throughout the year Vandagrif was having alot of accuracy issues. If I were a betting man atm I'd say Beck.

It will be difficult to get all of them to stay put.
