I would put talent accumulation at the top of the list as far as a requirement for my head coach. So I disagree.

It matters because the Big12 would have gotten the revenue from the game this season as it would have been on Big 12 tv networks. And in 2031 they aren't returning the favor because Oklahoma is already in the SEC....

All of this is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, amateurism especially as pertaining to college football is on its last legs.
As I said in a previous post, I don't think this makes the game better. In fact, I think it makes it measurably worse. Still doesn't change what is happening....

I'm not of the opinion that the decision is good for all of college sports or will even make football a better sport. It's not and won't. But I am also of the opinion that the big business sports (mens football and to a lesser degree mens basketball) was exploitative and very much needed to change.
