I'll never forget LSU fans blind confidence in that dunce after 2019. Joe Brady and a great receiving core won that title.
Coach O absolutely finessed LSU, you have to respect it.

I remember Jimmy Johnson talking about hiring him. He said "I didn't know anything about him, I just liked his energy."

I'm sure you miss your banned account, Owl.

Other than Nick Saban, Coach O was the best recruiter in the SEC, and that's not just some opinion, that's coming from people who know the industry. He was an ace recruiter. He just didn't do anything else well. He's too stupid to be the CEO of a major college football program. There were people in the football ops building who didn't know what their job description was when Kelly arrived.

I loved Orgeron's press conferences.

This is an arse whipping.
Oregon beat Bama by a few points here and there, eking out wins.

LSU fans probably wish they had Ed O instead of grinding Brian

They have to. Kelly is just a born loser, apparently, with a nasty mean streak.

Ed O was a gift to college football. He was a good coach, and won a natty. I can't believe LSU brass got rid of him for the puss they have now.
They are an irrational fan-base. That's why no coach ever lasts very long there, the fans run them all off.

The man is a legend; part of five national championships as a head coach and assistant coach.

Are we referring to OP as William Temu from now on?

Not only was he good for LSU he was also good for the SEC.

Learn to spell his last name correctly then we'll comment. It's not spelled like the state name.

This is true. But the revisionist history with Orgeron lately is absolutely ridiculous. The dude won four more games in 2019 than he did for the rest of his career at LSU.

Coach O got lazy after winning the NC. The following year his defense was horrible & in the process of hiring a new DC, he didn't even meet him face to face. He hired him after a phone interview. He lost the players when he blew off the players BLM march on campus. 10-15 Red Bulls a day had him bouncing off the walls in the football facilities. Letting his girlfriend of the moment bring her kids to watch practice didn't sit well with the staff. etc etc etc

Agreed. I'm glad you guys fired him. Please don't ever consider rehiring him. Thnx.

Ok the walk out vid is lit. But LSU is literally still recovering from him saying good riddance to Dave Aranda & hiring Bo Pelini without an interview lol.
The guy really was a great motivator. For a time he was hungry, humbled, and apparently taking good advice.
He was a good fit as an assistant, but it takes a little more than rah rah to run a D1 program.
