Tubby left no talent, I thought.

I think MSU will be tough for Auburn this year. And warranted or not, teams have Auburn as a target, either for the Cam debacle, because they won the BCS, or both.

I agree completely. And, I believe the answer to the OP is Auburn.

I just do not get the "you are stupid" responses from some folks. It is a legitimate question. EVEN if most of us believe the answer is fairly obvious.

He came in earlier than Saban did. His mess, gave him the core(O-line) to go 14-0. 2 straight top five classes shouldn't be rebuilding. Solid is a relative term. 7 is solid for some, while 9 is for others.

He took over a team that was in total shambles. Coaching staff basically quit the year before.

He turned it around fast and did not have the major failures that Saban did either.

He is doing a great job. I know that hurts you but it is reality.

Agree. I think 2-3. Both are realistic imo.

I cant believe there are AU fans that think they will win the first 5 games. Losing record most likely.

I don't think we will win all 5, but none of those teams is that scary or much better than AU.

As for the OP, if Arky can beat Bama, AU only has to win its first 4 for Bama to lose first. However, I agree that it doesn't really matter who loses first, it matters who loses most and who loses the IB.

Gee, no other coach taking over a program has ever had to deal with that.

He did a great job last year. If forecasts are true this year by the majority of the country and he goes anywhere between 6 to 8 wins, that's not exactly great.

I agree, but to hear some people (dittydirtycpa as example) tell it, Bama is in a rebuilding year b/c we lost our QB, JJ, MI, and our LT. You don't see Bama fans saying "rebuilding year" so expectations should be lower.

I actually think AU will probably exceed expectations this year. I think Chiz and crew are doing this year what they did their first year - dumbing down expectations. If AU goes 8-5/9-4 this year everyone will be pumping the job Chiz did.

Hell, according to Jesse Palmer, we should be glad to even make a bowl game. Does not compute.

You are wrong. He left very little young talent, but there was some talent and experience in the junior and senior class when Chiz took over.

Mostly Tubby's. Again, there is depth, just not experience. Chizik's two full recruiting classes (the last 2) is where most of the talent is.

This year is a wild card. We could win anywhere from 6 to 10 games, with 7 or 8 being most likely. 2012 and beyond we should be able to regularly contend for championships.

4 players remain from tubs 08 class so they could have something to do with it, but we have a lot of young talented depth anyways thanks to the job Chizik has done.

We dont really know how he will do this year so its a mute point to argue it.

Other than the lose to Kentucky at home in 2009, he was won the games he was suppose to win and more. No major loses in two years, dealing with a team that came off a 5-7 season and went on to win a New Years day bowl game. Then 14-0 and a BCS National Championship.

Even a homer like you has to accept the fact that is a great accomplishment. He also has three top 5 recruiting classes while his in state competition was on top of the recruiting world.

You can argue this point all you want, the facts are pretty clear. We dont know how he will do this year, just as we dont know if Saban will finish 4th in the SEC west again

You realize Chiz kicked off quite a few players that Tubs recruited, right? Again, whose fault is it there is not much experienced depth going into year 3?

I said he did great last year.

Which makes it hard for a Bama fan to understand, why 8 wins is the benchmark for Aubie fans this year and will be a pleasing record.
