I was so happy when The Visor decided to leave Florida for the NFL!

What he was doing to the SEC back then was impressive to say the least

Even more impressive was him abandoning UF in a snit smack in the middle of recruiting
Classy Steve.

This is easy...Spurrier, by a mile. Arrogant, obnoxious, threw out insults like a high school kid, immature, hot headed, and when the stakes were down, walked off in the middle of a season and abandoned his team. He was the worst role model a bunch of young football players could have. demonstrated horrible sportsmanship and maturity and absolutely NO humility.
Stevie boy, and its not even close.

Did you hear his comments about Georgia? He now thinks Georgia has classy players. That’s quite a turn around for him

1) Charles Barkley...he may not be one now...but he was definitely seen as a villain when he played for Auburn.

Best coaching move I recall...Joe B. Hall sending Charles Hurt out to guard Barkley. Hurt was physical...Barkley got pissed and took a swing at him. Both were ejected. Barkley was averaging around 15 points and 10 rebounds per game, Hurt was averaging about 5 points and 4 rebounds per game. Barkley was ejected in the first 2 minutes of the game.

quote:

At Auburn last Saturday, before the Crisco Kid could tear down a single backboard with one of his refrigerator slams or add to his hefty career statistics against Kentucky, Barkley was thrown out of the game, exactly 113 seconds after it started, for deliberately swatting Wildcat Charles Hurt's head from behind.

SOS still triggering UGA fans after all these years.

As for leaving Carolina how he did, I respected him for knowing his time was done and turning over the reins to his assistant. Spurrier wasn't going to just fade away or half-arse it. Seems fairly content now just supporting his alma mater and enjoying the retired life. I bet just about every non-Bama fan under the sun wishes Saban would do likewise ASAP but he'll probably keep coaching another 50 years.

Don't know about love or being a favorite but Tony Vitello might be in the lead for current SEC villain.

SOS bailed on SC in the middle of the season. He cut and run like he always does when he isnt winning or getting his way. He owed it SC to at least finish the season. But no. He’s SOS and when things don’t go his way he’s outta there.
I appreciate his kind remarks about my program but question his motives.

#1 - he's not an Auburn fan

The entire Tennessee baseball program recently…. They have only been good for a few years and think they are elite… really the most annoying fans ever

$cam Newton

Johnny Football… he was so frustrating because he would run 100 yards in backfield getting chased, toss it up to an 8 foot tall receiver and make plays…

He's my favorite SEC figure to root against currently. And it's not even close.

Apparently Maty Mauk wasn't too fond of the Ol' Ball Coach either:
