Hey, but Whitworth was 22-11 as Alabama's baseball coach from 1932-33.

He won the SEC Baseball title in '34 or so.

He was hamstrung by the administration. They hired his staff and heck, his Defensive coordinator was his AD. Still, he must not have been the world's best coach, either.

Dubose. Sad part he actually has the same number of SEC Championships at Bama as Saban does.

Also, Whitworth. Fran. Shula. Curry.

Auburn- Barfield
UGA- Goff
SC- Brad Scott
TN- Dooley
KY- Morris, Phillips
LSU- Archer
MS St- Croom
Ole Miss- Billy Brewer
Florida- Pell
Arkansas- Nutt just left a big mess
Vandy- DiNardo

You are mistaken about this one.

And to think that his best SEC record is the same as your current savior's best SEC record over his tenure.

Actually he took over a program that was on probation. He recruited better than Stallings, but didn't have a power to wrestle with boosters. He won a conference title, so it's hard to label him "worst coach" ever.
I agree. Mike Dubose is far from the worst coach ever at Alabama. Dubose's biggest flaw was his lack of control. Great recruiter and good coach. BUT, the fact that he had "Co-offensive coordinators" tells you all you need to know... He's actually had success coaching high school/JUCO, since Bama canned him.

Hallman, period. Although he was the coach in the "when pigs fly" game.

As a Gamecock fan I have witnessed a lot of shame and humiliation, but nothing compares to the trials and tribulations of the Fat Brad era. I can still see his dumbass on my tv trying to sell me heinz ketchup.
