We all have the homers that just pander to the fanbase, outside of them who would you consider the most legitimate source of news to your fanbase, region, and on a national level?

Matthew Stevens from the CDIdispatch is our best. Marcello and Locke suck. They like taking pot shots at MSU.

Cecil Hurt is the best "for our team", in the sense that he's professional, informed, and doesn't let his bias destroy his journalism.

Overall, I like Ivan Maisel. I think he's the best of the national writers. I also like Pete Fiutak, though his anti-Alabama rantings this year were hard to read.

I can't read Stewart Mandel. Skip Bayless should be arrested for impersonating a human being.

I liked David Hale better; I was sad to see him leave.

Hale was good. I just really enjoy Emerson's sarcasm and wit. And he posts free videos from practice

I think Ole Miss has had good beat writers at the Clarion Ledger for a while now. I thought David Brandt was good, I thought (and still think) Kyle Veazey did a good job, and I think Hugh Kellenburger does a good enough job.

I also like Neal McReady, but only because he really pissed Houston Nutt off that one time.

ETA: Also, since he lived in Oxford and covered recruiting at Ole Miss for a year or so when writing Meat Market, Bruce Feldman has been pretty complementary of the program as of late.
