By suck I mean have little to no shot of winning a Super Bowl. And yes, Ingram is incredibly unsuccessful in the NFL.

I think Lacy is set up for success in GB.

Been trying to remember the last time an LSU running back went in a top round? I wonder if Ford had gone to a different school if he'd have been a top round.

Joseph Addai - 1st round

I'm a Saints fan, but it's hard for an RB to get any rhythm in that offense. Especially for someone like Ingram.

The saints are going to win the NFC SOUTH this year they don't suck. Ingram sucks. He's more worried about slapping Yeldon on the arse then being an NFL running back. Our coaches did a poor job scouting him. He can't get to the next level. He'll be a backup RB all his life. Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles are more versatile and better RB than him.

What funny is Bama fans saying Julio is better than roddy white while last year RWhite had more yards , catches, yards per catch, yards per game.

All this while having the defense's best cb defending him.

I agree. He's too slow/soft.

Ok the Saints are a playoff team. But their floor and ceiling are close.

List of RB's on active NFL rosters (including fullbacks)

LSU
(3) RB
(1) FB

Michael Ford - too early to tell
Quinn Johnson - good to decent fullback
Stevan Ridley - solid NFL back
Spencer Ware - too early to tell

Bama
(3) RB
(1) FB

Mark Ingram - tuuuurrrrrrrriiible (honestly...worst one out of any of the two schools)
Eddie Lacey - too early to tell
Trent Richardson - tough situation for him (no o-line)...a little to early to tell but he doesn't look particularly good
Le'ron Mclain - Excellent FB

Really.....somewhat comparable...give an edge to Bama due to Mclain and most of LSU RB's being unproven.

Right. So basically, they go in lower rounds. I wonder if they went to other schools, if they would have been drafted higher. By most accounts, Ford was the better talent coming out of Louisiana the year we took Lacy, and even with all of those injuries, Lacy went higher. Just wondering why so many RB's make it to the NFL and didn't get more love in drafts.

Ford v. Lacy out of highschool was a push.
Most people thought Lacy was the better back but he had serious grade issues. Honestly, it was a major coup for Bama to get him in. He also had some serious legal issues that are equal or worse to Jeremy Hill's.
All being said, he wasn't offered by LSU because of those legal/grade issues.

RB's are a dime a dozen and have a short shelf-life...too much risk for a high round pick...which is why I hated the Ingram pick then and can say, "I told you so," now.
