Brian Kelly didn't really do anything abnormal. LSU averages 8-9 wins every year no matter who is the coach. Only one ten win regular season in the last decade

Unrealistic expectations have hurt them more than anything. Same as Auburn.

They think they’re Alabama and fire coaches for not meeting the crazy goals and demands of the fan base.

Would love to have had him stay. But he was never going to win at LSU like he did at Bama. The culture of the two programs is completely different.

I don’t think he would have either but it’s not because of LSU. I really believe him going to the NFL scratched an itch that had pestered him for a long time. He didn’t become the great coach he became at Alabama until he finally realized who he was and that was a college football coach. There is great power for any individual once he figures out who he is and what his purpose is. Had he gone to LSU after Miami he absolutely would have won like he did at Alabama. Had he never left for the NFL I don’t think he becomes the Saban we saw at Alabama.

LSU would not have supported him the way Alabama did after his time at Miami. Someone would have been meddling in his day to day operations and he does not tolerate interference in the process.

Love my home state but we are our own worst enemies with our corrupt politics.

It was Saban. If he had stayed at LSU he would be to Louisiana what The Bear is to Alabama.
