I think it is probably about equal.
He was our coach for a decade, and he wasn't popular at all for the last three years he was here.
A big part of the bitterness most Arkansas fans feel or felt was that nobody seemed to see what we all saw.
The Mustain story was complex, and unbelievable. Ole Miss hiring him was unbelievable.

He's meh to me- I am still thankful he's gone but I really don't hold any anger towards him. I always felt and still do it took more than 1 to tango in the HDN/Gus/MM thing.

Did y'all really think it was a surprise Ole Miss was cheating when out of left field in 2013 they signed a top 10 class?
#1 national overall player, #1 OT, the #1 WR, #1 DT, #1 ATH, and #5 overall safety. Lol yeah all those guys just so happened to want to go to fricking Ole Miss out of all places. LOLOLOL

I don't hate Nutt... but he overstayed his welcome at Arkansas and poisoned the water for any head football coach with close ties to the state getting the job.
Ole Miss on the other hand, he came in and had two very good seasons with O's recruits and then just sat back on his arse for two years and drug the program down with him.
There is a very good reason why the guy isn't getting calls for coaching jobs. He's good when he puts in the effort and has a good roster but Nutt is not afraid to just sit back and watch things turn to crap.

But "if" Freeze & Bjork campaigned and went out of their way to contact journalists in an effort to deflect the NCAA allegations away from Freeze and his staff and put it all on Nutt in order to save a recruiting class, then Nutt has every right to go after OM for defamation.
The heaviest allegation (Academic Fraud) lands on Nutt, but the lions share of over a dozen other allegations are on Freeze. And the media pushed a message that the NOA was all on the previous staff when that just wasn't true.
Nutt got paid his buyout, now he's going back to the well for more $$ all due to OleMiss' stupidity in trying to frame a false narrative to save a recruiting class.

Ole Miss fans have every right to be disappointed in what happened while he was there but trying to make him the scapegoat for this entire fiasco was going to come back and bite them in the butt. They should have eased Freeze out the door last year and known they were going to take a hit for a couple of years.

Nutt must have blown all the money he has. Arkansas gave him $3 million one day to take a hike and Ole Miss signed him to bigger salary. Than Ole Miss gives him $5 million to go away. He just heppin folks out.

I do not hate Houston Nutt but I'm glad he's no longer coaching at Arkansas, Ole Miss, or in the SEC. He probably should have settled for a job in a lower tier conference after leaving Ole Miss.
