Constant pressure with no sacks is usually better than a few sacks with medium pressure.

Sometimes QBs are too hungover to feel pressure. Right, Stephen Garcia?

That's a good point.

South Carolina only had 311 total yards of offense. They only had 201 passing yards. It's amazing how much damage they did in such few yards.

think Bama needs the young cbs to step up.

I was going with new OL but you have made me rethink my position.

I wouldn't say Dickson, I'd say Hubbard. He's set to do it, and he showed flashes of the player we know he can be last season, but now it's time to really hit it. At times last year his first step was awful, but at other times it was blazing fast. It needs to be blazing all the time.

As I said earlier. Collins, Pagan, and Kelly. If those guys play up to expectations, Alabama will have no problem cruising to 14-0.

More so than Jenkins is Mike Thornton, in my opinion. The NG is the lynchpin of our D and Thornton has to play big boy ball. If he and the DE's eat space then Jenkins will be just fine.

More important than either of them is Tray Matthews. If he doesn't step up at S, we are in dire straights. Really, it could be expanded to say all the newcomers in the secondary. I'll be focusing on Tray, Dawson, the two Shaqs and Langley though.

If those guys step up, UGA is going to be a very tough out this year. If they don't, any team with a solid pass game will shred us.

You are blaming the DL when it is the linebacker's job to clean up plays in the 3-4 defense.

UGA needs both inside linebackers to step up. we havent had consistent play from the Mike position since Grantham has been here.

On defense - DT Lavon Hooks needs to live up to his #1 JUCO ranking and DEs Channing Ward and Carlos Thompson need to take that next step. Our D-Line was one of the best in the SEC last year and it needs to stay that way. It would also be nice if R. Nkemdiche just came in straight beast mode.

Also, Senquez Golson and Charles Sawyer need to really break out at CB. Golson showed flashes of brilliance at the end of the season, but he needs to take that next step. Hopefully focusing on FB after droppig baseball will help. Our secondary blew arse last year. That needs to change.

On offense - I don't think anyone really needs to "step up", per se. Bo needs to be as good as last year (with fewer INTs) and Jeff Scott needs to learn to run north-south, but othe than that we're ok on this side of the ball. Everyone just needs to stay healthy.

Special Teams - Tyler Campbell just needs to get back to punting the shite outta them balls. We should be fine here now that Broadway is gone. Andrew Ritter will need to prove he can aim FGs because he's got plenty of leg. Whoever is on PR duty will need not to be Korvic Neat and we'll be ok.

AJ McCarron - his worst games last year came against teams that were able to apply pressure. With losing the amount of OL that Bama did, he is likely to face much more pressure this year. He's got to be able to handle it in order for Bama to have a chance to repeat.

HaHa Clinton-Dix - I would assume he will be this year's version of Mark Barron with Lester leaving. He's got to be able to lead a young secondary that will no doubt be tested, A LOT.

As good as HaHa is he did at times arrive a step late and other times did not deliver the expected big hit. Mark could make the hit almost every time.

Yeah, you guys used to always be loaded with WRs. Who would have ever thought that UF would have one of the best defenses to watch. Elam.
