Slope, I think these guys are seriously butthurt from us whipping their arse 3 years in a row.

I am actually pretty butthurt about it, because it is absolutely unacceptable for Ole Miss to lose to MSU three years in a row, that shite hasn't happened in 70 years.

I do get comfort in knowing that we've won 5 more bowls than the total of bowls State has ever been to though.

Billboards are tacky as frick

To Charger: Who's butthurt? The fact is that OM didn't use the Egg Bowl victories in the same manner as State does. That's apparent

Agreed. They are a great marketing tool. I.E. why Ole Miss used them with the Pro bowl crap. Trying to complain about our usage of them and having some of your own is uber-hypocritical.

I don't give a frick about that. But acting like the billboards aren't good marketing is just stupid.

Who is State marketing to? You think putting up those billboards around just the state of Mississippi is going to make people change from Ole Miss or Southern Miss fans to State fans? Everyone in the state of Mississippi knows who Mississippi State is. State needs to reach an audience that doesn't know who they are, and that means leaving your own borders.
When everyone from around the country looks at Mississippi the first college they think of is Ole Miss (for multiple reasons). State needs to do something to change that and putting up a few billboards around the state isn't doing shite.

I simply asked NorthGwinnettTiger if it was the younger or older generation of Auburn fans that portray the LBS, and go to extremes to throw shite at Bama.

yes and you listed those points as examples of LBS, correct? so, if someone else does those same things listed as examples of LBS, wouldnt you say they also have LBS?

We've both got LBS?

Lets see, 'come play for us because this is our state and we beat TSUN" or "come play for us because we have 4 motherfricking pro bowlers and maybe you could be one too"

One of them focuses on another school, the other doesn't. What is this thread about again?

I agree they aren't the best thing, but it's still marketing and in no way showing that we are obsessed.

Well yeah it's apparent, but why are ya'll so upset over us having them? If we weren't such a big deal ya'll wouldn't be complaining or saying we have LBS because of it.

Let's see they were both aimed at recruits. That's the point. It is a marketing tool for recruiting.

I did eat Momma Goldberg's for lunch today. Two orders of Momma's Nachos (damn they were good), but my gut is suffering for it now.

It's Arky and it's not close. They think they have arrived by finishing 2nd and 3rd In the west. They think a shitty coaching hire means nothing.

I'm not upset by them but in the context of this thread they have absolute relevance.
