That was solid advice and a nice gesture.
I've never seen an issue with opposing fans but I'm usually in the alumni RV lot.
I keep hearing that we suck as fans though so it must be true.

Being in FL, UF fans suck a lot.
But not nearly as much as LSU fans. At least the ones on this board.

I'm down in the Sarasota area, so my run-ins are mostly Community College losers and old people. Those UF fans suck.

Whoever is your biggest rival(s) are the worst fans period. Just the way it goes.
I personally hate going to Starkville when they play Ole Miss, but if they are playing anyone else, I have a pretty good time and they act completely differently.
I love going to LSU, especially at night, but those fans know how to offer you a drink, some food and then treat you like shite for the entire game. Got to love that passion.

I've lived in Tenn., Louisiana and Florida and I have to say the Vols fans were worse than the UF fans have been. Most UF fans I've met have a lot of respect for LSU. I've only had a couple of bad instances with them so far.
In terms of message boards, Arkansas, Bama and LSU fans are all pretty bad.

Florida has the worst overall in terms of consistent obnoxiousness and a certain fairweather nature.
I think it's just toward UGA, but I can without question say that I experienced the most outright, across-the-board hostility at USCe last season that I've ever experienced at a sporting event. Very few welcoming faces that you typically see at away venues. No GT, UF, or AU game can measure up. You felt totally unwelcome, which is rare for a conference sporting event. That's the only time I've been to Williams-Brice so maybe it's not like that all the time.
To the USCe fans that say UGA, I'm sorry to hear that. The only altercation I saw in 2011 was when USCe fans were celebrating loudly in an Athens bar after the game. Not that that's a good excuse, but you could see it coming. Another UGA poster mention similar circumstances earlier ITT.

As I said a few pages earlier, UGA is one of two teams that gets the worst treatment from our fans in Columbia.
But I also think a large part about last year was that, at that point, many could argue that was one of the biggest home games in our program's history, with both teams being in the top 6 in the country. Add to the fact that we just so happened to be playing Georgia and that College Gameday was there, and that created a very hostile and tense atmosphere.
You guys also bring about the most away fans of any team we play because you're so close, so there was a large chance that fans from both schools would encounter each other outside and inside the stadium.
As many people know, our fans aren't used to being in that kind of position with that kind of atmosphere surrounding one of our games, so I think that definitely contributed to the hostility. I know the week leading up to the game was probably the most tense build-ups to any game I've been to at W-B.
