Jarrett Lee or Jamarcus Russell. Someone who's looking for honest work should get the job.

1. Phyllis from Mulga, or
2. Harvey Updyke.

Those two ARE alabama football.

One of the talking heads on ESPN took part in the first mock selection committee meeting, each one present representing a real committee member, down to individual name tags at the table, and he said the thing that struck him the hardest was literally everything said/argued about any set team was 100% completely subjective, i.e. that member's opinion. No mention made about conference winners, rankings, etc. He said that #1-2 will be easy, but #3-4-5-6-7 etc will be a nightmare to pick from.

So have I. The SEC has a better shot with the computers than with humans. The computers countered human error and bias with algorithms that took into account things like strength of schedule. Those algorithms also aren't pressured by popular opinion or individual bias. There will be pressure on the committee to have "conference diversity."

I agree 100%. There will be a ton of pressure on the committe to "spread the wealth" among the conferences and not allow the SEC to take the lions share by having two teams in the playoff.

They probably have a computer program that will predict the TV ratings for each matchup.

That will be what drives the selections.
