In your opinion which coach should be the SEC Coach of the year?

Obviously Kirby Smart deserves a great deal of praise. To replace that many starters off a back to back championship team, and still have his team undefeated and rolling is extremely impressive.

I think Nick Saban has done one of his best coaching jobs this season. To bounce back after the Texas loss, replace both coordinators, and find a way to make Milroe look like one of the most electric players in the nation. They are playing as well as anyone, and it looks like it could be a heck of a SEC Championship.

I would also give a ton of love to Eli Drinkwitz. I thought there was a much better chance that he would be getting fired than to have his team at 9-2, but great job by him.

On the flip side of the coin who would you say has done the worst coaching job?

I really thought Arkansas would be better. Disappointed and surprised they have regressed under Pittman, even though they did lose two really good coordinators.

Also, I think Billy has done a better job at UF than the record shows, but being below .500 this late in the season at Florida should never happen.

Who do ya'll think?

All of the coaches you mentioned, other than Sun Belt, are worthy but I'm looking at what Drink has done and have a hard time not picking him.

Wasn’t this Kirby’s third season in a row to go undefeated in conference play?

There is your answer.

Saban.

Personally I think Brian Kelly is the most disappointing. I thought LSU was going to win the West this year.

All things being equal I'd agree with you but all things are not at all equal.

Drink COTY

Biggest egg, no homer but Pittman. 4th year returning QB, All SEC returning RB w mentionable backups, decent returning and transfer defense. Lost 5 games by less than 7 (3, <4) and etc etc.

Why should Saban and Kirby get penalized for recruiting their a**es off. Others could outwork them if they wanted to….

Drink for COY

Jimbo for most disappointing, and if they still have to be coaching, then obviously Pittman.

This. It's indisputable that being a great coach in college means you can recruit at an elite level. It's an essential part of the job, and Kirby/Saban excel at it.

Kirby had his entire defense drafted over the past two seasons, has a new starting quarterback along with a new offensive coordinator, and he is 11-0 again. Say what you want about the schedule, the talent, thats tough to beat.

I’ll go with Drink as COY because Mizzou has played at a high level all year. I do feel that Saban and Kirby get left out of that conversation because they are expected to win a lot of games. It’s hard to win that consistently. It’s amazing to see the run that those 2 coaches have been on. Kirby has a shot at history this year.

Oh please. When you’re the flag ship school in states among the most talent rich in the country, you’re basically born with a silver spoon in both hands and one up your a-hole as a backup.

With all due respect if you thought LSU was going to win the west this year then you didn’t know anything about the lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball that LSU had this year.

You also had no clue to the vast attrition during the season of LSU’s secondary.
