since McElwain has been at bama they have went 26-2 with two of the most awful QBs I ever seen be multi-year starters. MC> Kirby who is a product of Saban.

Bama's defense > Bama's offense

Bama's D wins them games, Bama's D wins them titles.

Bhamdore, Mcelwain isnt even really that good of an OC. Our best offensive playcall all year(AU game, last TD) was called by saban.

Mark Ingram enjoyed his defense.

Joking aside, he's a a great DC. Built some amazing defenses at Alabama in the late 90s.

1. Malzahn- Auburn OC
2. Chavis- LSU DC

These two resurrected moribund units at their respective schools. I give GM the edge because his unit finished higher.

3. Joe Pendry- Alabama OL coach

The Tide OL was the biggest question going into 2009. Pendry worked miracles IMO.

4. Ellis Johnson- Scar DC
5. Tyrone Nix- Ole Miss DC
