re: Is this burrweed?
Posted by Sofa King Crimson on 3/8/23 at 12:35 pm
I had it horrible all over my backyard. My dog would get dozens of the burrs all over his paws and legs. Sprayed this two years ago and haven't seen one burrweed in my yard since.

Live on the north shore and fish lake p and the marsh in the area. mostly brackish water and generally more fresh than salt.
anyways have a guy i know with a newer i pilot terrova for sale for a pretty damn good price but it’s the black model.
is that really a big deal? i get you probably wouldnt want that model if you fished exclusively salt water but…thoughts?

ha I grew up on tap water and there is probably nothing wrong with it but we live on the water and the neighborhood is relatively old. Occasionally there will be a slight tint to the water and I just don't totally trust it. Also, we have a baby coming in the next few weeks so I figure it would be good to have for cleaning and disinfecting the shiteater's stuff.
Looking for a solution for drinking water

currently it is just my wife and I and we drink a lot of water. We go through 80-100 of the 16.9oz waters/week. They're cheap so the cost isn't a huge deal but I'd like to find a better solution. My research is starting here because I imagine there are quite a few folks who have been in this spot.

there was red paint but I've sanded them and applied wood filler and re-sanded so not much of anything right now.
Question on outdoor wooden furniture refinishing
Posted by Sofa King Crimson on 9/23/19 at 3:22 pm
had a couple old adirondack chairs that were old and falling apart. I've refinished them and used new hardware and now I'm trying to determine the best route for sealing/painting. Should I just try and find a colored sealant? Doesn't seem like it would make much sense to use a sealer and then paint over it? Anyone have any suggestions on brands? I'm new to this stuff.

we put in @ 1000 s/f of it earlier in the year and love it. We have a dog that slides all over it and it has no damage. Looks great, too. Unless you just really like the look of another floor, I can't see a reason to go with anything else.

I need to do this for my boathouse. I have a deck above the boat lift. I was considering just using some corrugated plastic roofing panels.
re: Missing Boaters - Port Canaveral, FL

my folks live right next to the port there. talked to my dad this evening while he was on his walk and he was walking through the port and the family has a tent setup there and they're just hanging out trying to stay positive. hard to imagine what could have happened. i havent seen that there was any serious weather offshore that day. i guess its possible theyre floating around on the boat somewhere with dead phones/no service but that seems unlikely. i cant imagine going 30 miles into the atlantic without a radio.
re: Are any home warranties worthwhile?

seems like it may work in your favor if you have some older appliances or AC unit you're worried about going out soon. I've heard of it working out really well for some folks with old AC units but seems like most reviews are really bad. I think it being a positive is mostly based on timing things right for when your stuff goes bad.

id want to be in a 40+ foot boat to give that a go. and my guess is the boat you're talking about isn't if you're trailering it.

i have a decent amount to weedeat and have been really impressed with my ryobi 18v. It's super light and easy to use. Esp if you get a 4 or 5 amp battery.
