This site uses the older A for Alabama, not the newer A.
The older A does indeed look more like the Braves than the newer one.
The older A was used for like 1/2 seasons (2003/2004) until the new A caught on, after they retired the big cartoonish elephant.

I always thought it was lame because it looked like Clemson.
Holy shite, I get the USC thing now.
I'm pretty sure it retired when the tiger head came in, but the old paw was the main logo for a while.
