Correct, that’s the criticism of Sankey. It’s only a negative and will likely eliminate more SEC teams from contention as opposed to helping them

Now, With a 9 game SEC schedule, I can easily see a 9 - 3 SEC team making the playoffs. We lost to a top 10 team on the road. You act like we lost to Missouri, Arkansas, or Vanderbilt at home.
I always thought we would split these two games and get upset at Kentucky or Auburn, and lose to either Alabama or Texas at home.
Now, that I have watched Leavitt for three games, I'm adding another loss somewhere.
In your scenario, every SEC team that loses their first SEC game before November is in trouble of not making the playoffs.
I'd be willing to bet all SEC teams will have a SEC loss.

Fine. I still say a 3 loss SEC team can make the playoffs if those 3 losses were against all top 15 teams and the games were close.
You can't penalize the SEC for playing a 9 game schedule now.
I still don't know why the SEC wanted a 9 game schedule so bad. I'm sure the coaches don't like it at all, even though they might not say it "out loud".

Yeah we just started conference play. This will be a clusterfrick in 3-4 more weeks. We don’t know how good some teams are still. Florida could be for real and surprise OM. AU isn’t bad, they could easily beat someone looking past them. Look what just happened with UK. Going to be several 2-4 loss teams this year.

If LSU loses they will have two losses with remaining games against: @UK, Mississippi State, @Auburn, Alabama, Texas, @Tennessee. If they lose to TAM they would need to go undefeated the rest of the way to assure a playoff spot.
Texas A&M is in a similar situation if they lose. Their remaining schedule includes: @Missouri, @Alabama, @South Carolina, Tennessee, @OU, Texas.
It feels like the LSU vs. TAM game is effectively an elimination game.

It’s LSU. How do they rebound. While it’s aggy and they are both coming off of a loss i think LSU has to win to justify Kiffen and staying in the hunt. Everyone has already written off aggy. Overrated as usual. If LSU does not make the playoffs it’s going to be a lot of question marks on the hire. We live in the time of instant gratification. College football is no exception.
