You can't forget how our 2nd string WR's played. Breaux scored a TD on a WR Reverse and had a great catch where he spun out of 2 different DB's for like a 40 yard gain.

Summers scored on a reverse.
and Breaux pulled the ole double spin.
Almost as graceful as BIlly "drunken gazelle" Tapp's spin move against Samford.

Jerry could have had a bad day, and we still would have won.
If Snead has an average day and Jerry has an average day, it would have been a toss up.
If Snead has a bad day, you probably would have won.

People underestimate how good the rest of our defense is.
Our Db's started out the season crappy, but by the end of the year, they were among the best in the country. One of the reasons is that Marshay Green was a WR the year before and was playing corner for the first time in his life.

Fair enough. And vs. Or is a pretty crucial conjunction and I chose the wrong one to make my point. What you said is essentially what I was trying to convey. They both had sensational games and being average or subpar would have led to different results. Whether it meant the score would have been closer or if it meant that we would have won is purely speculation, but I've already said what I believe. At the end of the day, LSU had a chance after pulling to 21-13, but couldn't run the ball against that line and couldn't throw with a true freshman...

I'm amazed at the quickness between Hardy and Powe. I don't think that i would put them on the same side because Lockett and Laurent seem to be more of a hole stuffer...

would like to see Hardy....Laurent....Powe....Lockett and occasionally switch them up.

That's okay.
We held Mississippi State to 37 total yards the next week.
they had -69 yards on the ground.

Not a matter of "if", but "when"

The problem with our D-line is that we have too many good DE's.
We have 3 future NFL draft picks in Hardy, Tillman and Lockett all who've started at least 10 games, but we can't play all three of them at one time.

See LSU*

Rahim Alem, Tyson Jackson, Tremaine Johnson, and Kirston Pittman for obvious passing situations

I have a feeling South Carolina is going to be miserable again.

Not sure what you mean. I think USC will finish 3rd or 4th in the East, depending on how Kiffin actually does on the field in his 1st year. Florida is clearly the best team in the East, then probably UGA. After that, I'd say that USC and UT are tied. Kentucky will be decent, but USC has somewhat of a talent advantage and a better coach. I would say that UT and USC will be close to equal talent wise (UT's talent is very young for the most part), but Kiffin is unproven and Spurrier is still a good coach. Finishing 3rd or 4th in the East would not be a "bust" for Carolina.

Right, but Greg Hardy is better than any of those guys ever dreamed of being.

Biggest SEC busts in 2010:

1) Alabama
2) Florida
3) Ole Miss

And no, I'm not the least bit biased.

You're right, I bet Ole Miss fans will be completely devastated if we only get 8 wins this year.

thats not a good season for a team starting in to top 10???way to represent your seed. if ol miss doesnt win 10 games, its considered a worse year than predicted...LSU is ranked in the teens, no pressure here

I'm still convinced if UT ran ANY offense last year we win 9-10 regular season games.

Urban Meyer has stated he is putting Tebow under center this year. It will be very interesting to see how that works out b/c in order to utilize that pro-style drop back, play action you have to have a quality running game, which minus QB's, Meyer has really never had. He is changing his style up b/c more and more evidence is coming out of the NFL that the shot-gun QB does not translate to a successful NFL QB. So, when that theory gets out there you start to run the risk of highschool QB's that aspire to play in the NFL not wanting to commit to that offense.

Right now I don't think that change is necessary for Florida although it would be in the future. Jevan Snead was a shot-gun highschool QB and he struggled early in the year under center for the first time. I think Florida will have a winning season but I think if they follow through with this major type of change it will lead to an underacheiving season. With what they have coming back anything less than a BCS appearance would be underacheiving and I don't think they'll make it if they make the change now.

People have Arkansas pegged at 7-5 but I don't see 7 wins on that schedule. The 5 agreed losses would be GA, LSU, Bama, FL, and OM. But out of TX A&m, Auburn, and South Carolina I think they drop 2 of those. Troy is also picked to win the sunbelt and they had LSU down by 30 last year. That is a trap game late in the year and a good chance for a loss b/c Arkansas won't have a bye week anywhere to rest but for after game 1. The opener against SW MO St looks like a gimme on paper but they almost dropped their opener to a d2 program last year and this year you don't know if Mallet can carry the team like Casey did in his first game. Casey had to lead a 2 score 4th quarter comeback. I'd probabaly take whatever long shot odds were given that Ark is tight, lackluster on defense, Mallet is inaccurate and that game is lost.
