I knew Eibner was going to hit that . I new it. I can predict the future

there are alot of things that can go wrong with it in clutch situations.
The pro minor leagues will bring him in to face better lefties than he's been seeing, even if pinch hitting. Good lefties won't have near as much trouble against him.
I don't think he has 3 years left of pitching in his arm. Whoever Lsu has teaching him to throw like that is probabaly ruining his career

heartbreaker, Coleman is a good college pitcher. The problem is he reminds me too much of someone that sells out his arm health and blows out his career. It's hard to throw across your body and win very long. Ask Dontrel Willis

I was wrong.
The thing about Coleman is that he sells out his arm health to end up going broke.
Every pro pitcher that throws across his body fails by either losing their command or blowing out their arm or in most cases both.
I thought Ark had him but I was wrong. The low minors will dispose of him.

the SEC is the next step to the NFL. The SEC has the most players drafted every year. The SEC is the quadrant of the country that produces the most talent.
It's hard to answer your last question about Purdue based on location and year.
My point about Purdue is that if you average their 20 year homegrown NFL talent, guys that grow up wanting to play for Purdue, like Dmac, or Jamaal Anderson, I think if they played in a bowl game or nonconference game each year alternating home sites since 1970 and both teams had a great coach , Purdue would win about 65% .

These guys are correct. It's hard to utilize a power-run game out of it unless you are setting up your QB for alot of hard hits. If you watch the entire Florida vs Ole Miss game this year it's pretty easy to see why FL lost.

If you look at the statistics and budget of recruiting base, what I am saying is true.
I never figured Purdue had more potential than Arkansas. But I have done alot of research and it appears they do. At least within the last 4 to 6 years they have put more guys in the pros.
that's why the big10 and SEc don't play much.

The thing about the 99 team was most of the good recruiting ended up being sanctioned.
I was doing some research about that team and there were at least 4 DT's on that team that were drafted into the NFL which is very impressive b/c DT's is one posistion that can pretty much win a game easier and dumber than any other posistion.
Can someone familiar with that situation let me know exactly how and why they were sanctioned under the Jackel?

In a class when he's only signing 15 or so, how many more tight ends is he taking?
They were having a big fight over this on an Arkansas site. Evidently some think this is a player they could have committed in January than so early. I have noticed Petrino is recruiting ALOT OF whites too. I think you can also kiss Michael Dyer goodbye b/c when they pass on his buddy, who's also throwing down the same 40 times with a larger frame at the same posistion, Auburn is looking much sweeter. He also told Ueckman, the in-stater from LR, an area UA has to recruit well to be successful, he had 24 hours to decide. Petrino is certainly not embracing these homegrown kids like Nutt did, offers or not.
At this point Petrino looks like a suspect recruiter at best.

The NFL is the standard of football at the highest level. If a team who pays alot of money to scouts and players feels good enough to draft a guy, when they'll turn around a couple days later and sign 10 more as free agents, then guys getting drafted and how that related to a recruting class or their star rating 4 or 5 years prior is interesting to evaluate.
If you really get serious about evaluating some draft stats, I'll tell you something very interesting about Arkansas. Nutt's detractors would tell you he's a poor recruiter who can only win on luck, or the prior coaches recruits b/c that is what he's done at 2 sec programs now. They think Danny Ford was a great recruiter b/c Nutt tied for the west in 98 with Ford's players. However, if you take away the first class that basically each coach had to rebuild or contain once he was hired, and look at their first full class, year 2, Nutt actually put more of his recruits in the draft than Ford. twice, Nutt had 6 of his recruits drafted the same year. The most Ford ever had was 5 but typically 1 or 2. Ford routinely won 10+ games at Clemson and is their all time winningest coach so obviously by Ark standards he is an agreed upon quality recruiter.
The real kicker is, players brought in in the Ford era were being overpaid by a Dallas truck operator. Ford was cheating, Nutt paid the price for Ford's cheating with sanctions and a 3 year cloud, AND STILL OUT RECRUITED HIM.
I can only imagine what a big time recruiter like Nutt could do in a saturated area like north central MS.

You should getting a hobby.
The stars ranking is what is not as important as where the NFL talent is coming from. Coaches have alot to do with the star system as do the guys trying to make money on subscriptions. Auburn got an ILB commit the other day rated at 9th best but dropped from a 4star to a 3star after he committed.
This link is a map to where the NFL talent is coming from. Notice Arkansas is the most bankrupt talent state in the SEC by a wide margin. You would think in alot of instances the MO, KS, OK, and TX quality talent is staying in state and alot of their South east talent would consider Ole Miss which is in an extremely talent rich area.

it's still pretty early though Rome. Ark should get in to that bullpen pretty soon if Forest can keep Ark in the game they might win it.

woopiginaustin, do you understand what I'm saying?
It looks to me like there are atleast 30 programs with a better inherited recruiting base most years.
