That's like trying to say A&M's defense is going to be good next year because:
1,028 total tackles (789 return = 76.7%)
67.0 total TFL (53.5 return = 79.8%)
21.0 total sacks (16.5 return = 78.5%)
17 total interceptions (12 return = 70.6%)
43 PBU (30 return = 70.0%)
60 passes defended (42 return = 70.0%)
16 QBU (12 return = 75.0%)
5 fumble recoveries (4 return = 80.0%)
8 forced fumbles (6 return = 75.0%)
3 blocked punts (100% return. All led to safeties)

I'd rather return 85% of our "irrelevant" offense then have no clue what to expect with only a quarter of your offense returning.
I'd rather have 72% of an elite offense over 85% shite.

This guy makes the best point as to why these percentages are dumb as frick.
I'm not saying State won't be dangerous, but this is an idiotic way to brag about it.

I don't quite understand where the percentages are coming from. It seems like it is percentage of offensive TDs that were scored by a player who will be back next year. Does the WR or QB count on a passing TD?
Even then, it's a and way to look at it. An offense could be losing 9 players, have their QB and RB returning, and look like they have a high percentage coming back. It's just not a helpful statistic.

Does the OT who had the huge block to let those players score count in the equation?

did this already but i didnt try to twist it to meet my needs.
what you fell to realize about this info is that your total TDs before and after losses suck.
yeh you are returning the most Off scorers but if they suck... well... they suck...

Obviously Auburn since no one can stop Malzahn's offense.

Exactly. In other news UTSA is playing Central Michigan in the National Championship in 2014 See it here
Is there going to be a more disappointed fan base next year than State?

Soooo... MSU is returning 85% of an offense that ranked 9th in the SEC in offensive touchdowns scored.
Neat.

Jameon Lewis threw 3 of your team's total 18 TD passes...
This settles it... Kentucky and MSU will play in Atlanta the first weekend in December.

While I do believe State's offense will be improved, it's their defense that needs the most work.
Auburn's offense wasn't returning much going into last season, and look what they did. Of course they have the college Sean Payton for a coach.......
And while LSU only returns 25% of our offensive production, we also return one of the best O-lines in CFB plus a shitload of blue-chip skill players.
The only question is, will Jennings/Harris/Rettig be able to get them the ball?
