Not a fan of Bama but their old school white helmets were slick.

Lose the red on the shoulders and add more red to the helmet, and those would look really good to me.

To make a long story short, apparently at one point Kansas threatened a lawsuit because of the usage of the Power K. Instead of going through all the bullshite of keeping it, UK switched logos. And now we have the generic Nike interlocking logo.
My hope is that they would consider going back to the Power K at some point. There's been an ever growing batch of "vintage" UK gear sold by Nike that features the Power K.
