Newton had 5 games he could have easily lost that year. Miss State, Clemson, South Carolina, Alabama and Oregon. Hardly some unstoppable juggernaut. Great player, no doubt. GOAT is laughable.

95 Nebraska. Because you knew exactly what they were gonna do and still no one could stop them (destroyed 4 final top 10 teams).

To be fair, everyone knew Joe Burrow was gonna slice and dice their defenses but couldn't do shite about it.

How many did he lose?

No other QB ever would have gone undefeated with that supporting cast with that schedule. That's a fact.

2019 LSU would be LUCKY to even pass midfield against the 1992 Alabama Defense

The 1992 Alabama would have absolutely no answer for the RPO

1995 Nebraska. They trailed once all season (never trailed in the second half) and they boat-raced a great Florida team in the championship game that had dominated the SEC. Of the 12 games on their schedule, only one was a non-Power 5 team; they won every game by 14+ points. They stomped four teams that finished in the AP top 9 by 23, 24, 38, and 38 points. And on a side note, they whupped a Nick Saban coached Michigan State team (in his first year) by 40…

2 sides of the ball, yet we never hear about LSU's 2019 defense.

We were actually beating them at the end of the 1st quarter. "Nebraska better not fall too far behind."

My statement was that everyone knew what 2019 LSU was going to do yet couldn't stop it and that's true.

I concur. 62-24 over the Gators in the Orange Bowl. Ol' Tommy Frazier.

That's a "fact"... you have absolutely zero way to prove it but it's a "fact". You are just adorable. I'm just going to guess that the only people who think Newton is the GOAT are sad auburn fans. Outside that and Bill Connelly who put him at #2 in the past 30 years, not so much.
