Which is more important to you - consistent winning seasons, playoffs, or trophies?

Would you be okay if your team had a few down seasons each decade so long as they made the playoffs once or twice and won a conference championship?
Do you measure success by overall record, or playoffs and championships?

National Championships.
However, I also understand that you can't do that every year and that there are many things, such as constantly changing coaches/staff, and over reacting to the occasional bad season is the best way to prevent them.

Most fans, regardless of what they say, would rather have the occasionally great championship season interspersed with some down periods.
How many LSU fans are still bragging about 2019? How many are bragging that Brian Kelly won at least 9 games each of his first three seasons?
How many Auburn fans are still bragging about 2010? How many Auburn fans brag about Gus Malzhan having a winning record every season at Auburn?
That tells you what really matters to fans.

Making the playoffs is a great accomplishment in its own right. Only one team can win the whole thing, so being in the running at the end of a successful season is my goal each year. Winning it all of course is a bigger accomplishment, just less likely so making the dance is my goal in late August when it all begins.

Seeing bad things and the complete opposite of the above happen to UTk.
Just kidding for the most part.
Being in position for championships at a regular clip is what I expect of Bama football. But, if it were a return to the Mike era, I'd still be tuning in. Just like to watch ball.

Considering years of consistent winning in the Richt years meant nothing, trophies.

I'd be thrilled with a few SEC titles and a national championship more than once every 20 years or so.
I ask for too much, clearly.

I’m an LSU and a PSU fan. I’ll take the lows for the highs.
I think it makes the season more magical when you get a championship.
Alabama is the gold standard and for most of Sabans career they were picked to win it all. Seems like the championships all blend together and weren’t shocking. The other side would be would you rather play for it every year and win half or be like LSU?
