Congrats on getting married. I hope it is a happy union.

I visited the Bristol area and loved it. I hope to go back in the autumn.

They make up for it with great defense. They are always on of the toughest teams.

Iowa???? That great defense was one side of a 35 - 0 at the hands of the vols in last year's Cheese It bowl. Nothing too great about that.

WRONG BOARD! This is an SEC Board. All lesser conferences should report elsewhere. Oh, and frick tOSU.

Oklahoma

Yup.

From an Oklahoma perspective, there is so much intrigue in this game. First SEC game. First big game this year. First decent test for Arnold after getting a few games under his belt.

That is not to mention the Heupel connection.

This game should tell a lot about how the season will unfold for OU.

I’m looking forward to hosting Ohio State in Tuscaloosa for the playoffs.

And singing Rammer Jammer at the end of the game.

Are you predicting that 'Bama won't get a first round bye? Because not getting that bye is the only way you host a game.

Note: I had to look it up. I was under the assumption that the quarterfinals would also be at home sites but that doesn't seem to be the case. I think asking fans to go to three straight neutral site games is going to be problematic. That is a lot of plane tickets to be bought within a week of the flight meaning $$$$.

Meatchicken in the big house, dawgs coming to ATX, and as always, RRS in Dallas.

Honestly excited about all of them, and most of all excited to not be playing any Iowa/Kansas schools, and none of our butthurt in-state left behinds now stuck in a glorified CUSA wannabe conference.

Carolina vs the big1t8en as a member of this supposed lesser SEC East -

2-0 Michigan
2-0 OhioS
1-0 Wisconsin
1-0 Nebraska
0-1 Iowa

Looking at the schedules since 2000, those wins came from your best 6 years in that 24 year span. Those Ohio State and Michigan teams were all ranked near the bottom of the top 25 if ranked at all. It isn't like you were beating peak tOSU and Michigan.

This is kind of the opposite of OU's record against the SEC this century. Almost every one of our losses were to the SEC champion. Those SEC champions either went through their SEC schedules undefeated or with one loss. IIRC, the only loss that wasn't against the SEC champion was the A&M loss.

Alabama, Auburn, & Ole Miss.

Alabama because they’re the ultimate litmus test.

Auburn because there’s not really much history and it’s at Auburn.

Ole Miss because avenging the 1999 Independence Bowl would be nice and it’s at Ole Miss, somewhere they’ve never been.
