I am pretty much from the coast and I love all cajun food. All the diff coast regions have great food whether it be in LA, MS, AL, or FL.

Yeah, they all do have some great food. But Louisiana has the best overall food of anywhere on the coast..creole,cajun,seafood,bbq..you name anywhere else on the gulf you can get food that's up to par with LA's selection

One of my best friends and roommates in college was from Monroe and he cooked all the damn time so Ive had both north and south LA cuisine and its all fire.

Well a Monroe chef won the 2011 LA seafood cook-off so obviously you don't have live in S LA to know how to cook.

Dont worry bout him crimson. Hes just a little flaming bitch, and he's mad because i asked why he could still post on the help board. Good thing for you, I dont judge fanbases based on their bad apples. RTR

I love both living in Lafayette, La and being Italian. You will find better Cajun food in Lafayette than Baton Rouge imo.

I dont completely disagree on Deanie's. I was just giving directions to the Deanie's closer to where tourists go. They do have HUGE entrees, but yeah, we didnt bother eating our leftovers. I've been going to Felix's since I was 12, as it was one of my dads favorites when he was in Seminary, deacdes ago. As for what is better between Cajun or Italian, I'll go Cajun all day every day. For the same reason I prefer Thai food over all other Asian food, full flavor and spice is where its at for me

Well it is much easir to find around there. If you go twenty miles west or south, the food gets even better..

Nice one. Unfortunately I was referring to how good the food was and not the temperature or spice level.

it depends on who's cooking it. but, if you're going to be in b.r., you gotta go native. find a great, local cajun place.
