and i'll gladly take you up on that, that sounds really good.
it isn't even like i don't enjoy cajun, i just have had some real good italian before and idk if that plateau can be reached again

You don't go to LA and pass on Cajun for Italian food. Just saying.

No bruh its because you're preferring Italian over cajun when you have admittedly never had real cajun food. If you haven't had them both, you aren't really qualified to answer this. Just sayin.
And joes crab shack is not cajun.

To the OP, if you want good cajun in BR, try Sammys, Boutins or go to Tonys Seafood market with an ice chest. Pick up some stuffed shrimp, crab au gratin or some crawfish pies

You can't really compare Italian to Cajun imo. Trust me when you have genuine Cajun grub you will have a great experience. Makes me wish I lived closer to grab some when possible.

Where at? There is a pizza place a couple of blocks from my apartment that I have heard is pretty much a religious experience.

It's a place called Antico off of Northside Drive. Apparently a line starts to form 30 minutes before they open for lunch.

Absolutely not. But there are about 8 different authentic Italian restaurants in BR, and even more in NOLA. I love some Italian, and there are alot of similarities in the two. Like i said, Cajun is more of a style of cooking. You can cook italian food in a cajun manner

Nah. I just heard about it from someone a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten around to it yet. I am probably gonna try to head over there sometime towards the end of the week. Will report back.

Italian, although I love me some Cajun food

NOLA has better creole Italian than Cajun food. I agree with the guy who said go to Laffeyette, or 20 miles any direction from there for the real thing.
