Hmmm, actually Idk.

The clearcut answer to this question has been richt with little to no debate, but he's gone now so I don't have a clue.

Mullen seems like a fairly good choice.

Richt would be the easy choice if he were still around.

I suppose Mullen is next up.

Whoops. Richt would be the answer if he were still around - which is sad. Because the SEC is apparently a shitty conference for qbs

The SEC has produced many very good NFL quarterbacks including the goat.

Urban Meyer and Gene Chizik/Malzahn

Not Mullen.

Oh and Dak wasn't a Heisman candidate.

Freeze's first 2 quarterbacks have thrown for at least 2,994 yards in each season. One including 4,000+

The honest answer is that it's really hard to tell with the current crop of HCs. The biggest names were really good, and would have been so without the HC in question. There are a couple OCs that could enter the conversation too, but there are just too many variables and no one coach stands out as being able to develop talent past what they would normally be able to achieve (which is what we generally mean by 'developing quarterbacks')

Mullen's resume is impressive, though Cam doesn't really belong to him any more than he belongs to Malzahn. Cam would have prospered under virtually all the current SEC HCs.

Freeze is yet to develop a QB by himself, Bo and Chad both made previous stops, and we see the wonders he did with Buchanan and whoever the other 4 star prophesied savior was.

Mullen's QB's own pretty much every QB record at State and Florida, and I assume Utah as well.
