My opinion of you may be deeply impacted by the things you post on the SECr.

11-7
Strongly in the NIT
11-7 would put us at 16-15 overall
(going into the SECT)
not sure how the NIT works but is that a "strong" choice for the NIT?
I guess maybe? LSU went 18-15 with an 8-10 SEC record and made it.

I thought you left the Gamecock board because you got in an argument with somebody.

Many teams improve throughout the season
Didn't yall also have some injuries?
We have....Moss has been out for most of the season, as well as projected starter Minaya. Frink and Kotsar missed some games early in the non-conference part.
We have relied on two freshmen in particular, in Lawson and Bryant, plus a grad transfer PG in Campbell. It took time for Lawson and Bryant to become more consistent as contributors, but since SEC play they have been among the top 3-4 players in production.
Silva was our unquestioned top player, but to start the season, he struggled in taking on the mantle as a leader, but has settled down since SEC play started. I don't know what kind of leadership pressure Coach Martin tried to put onto Silva, but whatever it was, it has subsided.
He's gone from averaging 12.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, and 1.8 bpg shooting 45% in OOC play, to 15.3 ppg, 7.6 rpg, and 2.2 bpg, shooting 61% in SEC play. Typically those numbers tend to go down a bit once you get past the weaker OOC opponents, and start playing tougher conference rivals.
The team started the season still dealing with what was a big problem last season with the team: with Thornwell and Notice gone for the most part, the team was without any consistent leadership, as well as PG poor. To start this season, the leadership issue is still there, and really is there now.
Several players have just settled into roles on the team, and the freshmen have adjusted mostly to the faster pace of college BB. Both Lawson and Bryant are still a bit prone to looking like freshmen, like they both did a bit against UTjr. in both games, and against UK earlier.
But they have improved substantially from early in the season. It's one of those deals where one wishes we started the season now, instead of being 24 games into it.....

I didn’t get in an argument with anybody .... I was tired of the noob from CT talking shite all the time. By the way, we got oranges by the final signing day.
Also, the guy was constantly baiting me in there and I don’t have time for his bullshite.
And finally the way the guy who donated the ring that CNB won was treated ... I thought that was beneath us as a group of fans. We are better than that.
But no, I didn’t get into it with anybody ... the guy wasn’t worth my time. I know who he is - I chose to not associate with him before and I’m choosing to not associate with him again.
However, I’ve got no clue as to exactly what you were referring to on the poliboard that I’ve posted that would be considered so detestable? Perhaps one day you’ll enlighten me on that one.
I’ve given you baseball and basketball tickets before have I not? I’ll have to go back and look. I’ve given away so many tickets now I forget to who-all ... but if me being a capitalist constitutional Consertive, and being open about it, is a bad thing ... then sobeit.

We've never met in the real world before.
Unfortunately, your online persona is all I have to go on.

A good ole fashion tailgate fist fight between SOSfan and Rooster. Loser leaves town

Probably 12-6, maybe even 13-5...even at 13-5, would still likely not make it as an at-large for the tournament

Damn 13-5 and not in?
Must be a weak conference

Clearly usce is finishing the regular season in Columbia. The season ends 1st round of the SEC tourney

I don't believe in discussing in-house Carolina issues in public.
I have absolutely no problems with Rooster for the record.
I live in Ridgeway so I would probably throw the fight on purpose.

I'd guess
vs A&M win
vs Ole Miss toss-up
@ Miss State loss
vs Bama toss-up
@ Mizzou toss-up
@ A&M toss-up
vs UGA win
Anything from 9-9 to 13-5 is possible imo, and 13-5 is the absolute minimum for tourney contention
17-14 (12-6) doesn't cut it.
South Carolina's conference start has been better than expected for sure (and, yeah, they're obviously nowhere close to the worst team in the conference) but I think you also have to realize that they've won every close call they've had in conference (their average margin in conference wins is 5.14, Mississippi State OT counted as 0, and average margin of loss is 21) and are still 93rd in KenPom and 97th in NET.
And it's fun to brag about conference record but shite happens with an unbalanced schedule and South Carolina isn't going to make the tourney over Bama, Ole Miss, or even Florida just because of conference record (or H2H, yes, I know)

Again, you’re not really saying anything incorrect
But same as last time, bookmarked

13-5 would get us a double bye in the tourney so we would need to win two games in the tourney, even then, to have a shot at the dance.
Posted on 2/15/19 at 12:26 pm to I Bleed Garnet
I think we'll end up in the top three. Will probably make the tourney but winning the conference tournament will definitely help with the resume and I think we'll be one of the favorites to do it. We hot right now. Our name out there.
