It's where they originally were before Alabama moved them to Birmingham
Former LSU coach Bernie Moore was the commissioner who made the decision to move the office from Jackson to Birmingham, at the request of UF and UK reps who wanted a shorter drive time. It had nothing to do with Alabama.

Put it in Mike the tigers cage.
There would still be corn dogs crying about refs and coming up with any and every excuse for getting beat by Bama though

The answer is Nashville. The SEC money sport is football and Vandy is never going to be competitive enough to compete for the SECC.
And lets hire anyone in charge of anything to do with officiating from outside the SEC footprint. Not worried about monetary corruption as much as having someone in charge that is associated with certain schools.

Back to Jackson, Mississippi. Where it used to be.

As close to Vanderbilt as possible. Maybe they will start winning more and help the conference. If not, then Missouri.

I always laugh at people who think moving the SEC offices solves anything
I generally agree with this and think most of the whining is embarrassing (while some of it is amusing every now and again).
I think the main issue with the location is the coincidence of it all. Although there is an argument that by and large people who work at the offices are going to be Bama fans if they live in Bham so there’s a sort of generic Bama bias that permeates the building, but I don’t think that holds much water.
The real answer for where to move it is North Carolina next to the SEC Network offices. Then no one could complain about anything and there’s really no reason the offices have to be in an SEC state.
This is coming from an LSU fan who thinks there is a slight Bama bias but just because there’s a bias toward winning teams in general, not because there’s some actual conspiracy going on out there that goes all the way up to the offices.
That’s just the way it is. Good teams get the benefit of the doubt, and when the refs are as bad as the SECs are, that “benefit of the doubt” comes into play a lot.

Memphis. It’s an SEC town with no SEC school in town. Has a good mix of people from all over the southeast.

Brussels... or Paris ... or even Madrid ... anywhere but Alabama.

Here is where I think you are wrong. The employees who would be Bama fans because of living in Birmingham would be low level employees such as receptionists and custodians, and such. The people who actually run the SEC, the execs are from all of the schools as are the reps of the schools and simply working in Birmingham does not make them Bama fans. The officials are part time and most don't even live in Bham. I also disagree with you on another point. LSU will find something else to complain about, let's face it, we all have fans who like to complain, but LSU seems to have more than their fair share. It is just who they are, part of the football culture there. Moving the offices solves nothing because the officials are not biased, just men who make mistakes and the fans are biased ones and because of this will always complain about the refs no matter what is done.
