He could fall right into Michigan's lap again if Harbaugh goes to the Rams, which, preliminary reports are saying is a done deal. Would it be too far out of the question to wish for a LSU-UM title game some time in the near future?

Michigan wouldn't hire him.

Nobody else would hire him (Houston, Texas, Purdue, USF, FAU, etc...) what makes you think Michigan would?

He had his chances to go to Michigan in 07 and 11 and said no. At this point he's too old to get the job.
I have a feeling he might just forget about coaching now and join the broadcast booth.

I have yet to see any legitimate source say that Harbaugh is remotely interested in the LA job. I hope he does take that job because we're currently locked into a recruiting battle with UM for 2 prospects, but I don't see it happening. Too dysfunctional of an organization right now.

Gives him an excuse to frick over the 9ers though

On the college gameday set

Why in the Hell would Harbaugh go back to the NFL? He left a successful stint with the 49ers for his "dream job". Why go back?

True, but the 9ers don't need any help with that. They frick themselves over plenty.

He didn't leave, he was fired. And UM is his dream college job, but college coaching and recruiting is a never ending job... there is very little down time and it isn't for everyone. If I could choose between being a successful college coach or a successful pro coach, I'd choose the pro coach every day and twice on Sundays.

Probably for some prestigious program in the NFL or college. I've been told by this board he's one of the best in the business.

He'll be a Vol. Soon as UT wakes up and fires Butch.
