It only bothers me when somebody will say "we" when their team won and then they use "they" when their team loses.

Yes WE do.
See what I did there?

I am a high school drop out. I didn't attend any institution of higher learning and I regret it greatly because my life has been much harder because of it. I got a girl knocked up and I didn't know how to go to school and provide for them. I reared my family doing it the hard way.
I made sure my children didn't have to do it that way. They attended and obtained various degrees from several institutions around this state. They also have jobs in their chosen fields which is no small affair. You know, the thing about them being able to pay for their own shite.
I say "We" when talking of Mississippi State from time to time but I try not to. I feel like it's we, but assholes such as yourself have taken that simple joy from me by your elitist behavior. So, frick you very much.

I wasn't afforded the opportunity to attend a major college after high school and thus enlisted in the USAF. I obtained my education while enlisted but since getting out I have donated plenty of money to the University of Alabama in the form of season tickets via my late grandfather. Speaking of whom, he is my direct connection to UA as he used to sell office equipment to Bear Bryant and other parts of the UA athletic department in the 60s and 70s.
So yes, I will say "we" and "us" and won't give two flying tiger shits what anyone says about it.

I never attended South Carolina. I have been to all the home games and countless away games since I was 7 though (15 years). It's become a part of my life, win or lose. I've sat through the most humiliating of defeats (2003 Clemson 63-17 game), and the best wins.
So yes, I do say we. And I will continue to do so, because no other fan can tell me how to be a fan.

Elite a-hole is a 101 requisite at some of these institutions it seems. Not sure how I missed it, but that was the 70s.
my good man.

"Us" and "We" if you didn't graduate from there? As in " We won that game." as opposed to "LSU won that game." Had a little debate about this earlier with a buddy of mine who didn't go to any college, but still says "we" and "us". What say the SECr?
Who cares, sounds like you have a complex!

The people who nitpick over the us/we usage are some of the biggest homos in sports.
Jus sayin.

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. I love for that school to do well but I will always be a Ole Miss Rebel. I was born and raised in Oxford.Parents still live there. I went to USM for a major that was better there. One shouldnt ONLY choose a school because they like it, but for what is best for their career of choice.

We or us should be reserved for players. Just being a fan or alumnus does not make one part of the team.

Nick Saban disagrees with you.

In the big picture, fans of any given School or Team have the God given Right to refer to their Team or School in any way they wish to.jmho

I graduated from UA and I say "we" and "us". It doesn't bother me when other people say it either.
I'm a fan of a few pro teams such as the Red Wings, SKC, and Liverpool. I still say "we" and "us", but sometimes I specify the team so everyone know's exactly what team I'm talking about.

Without the fans there really wouldn't be any teams.
But this reminds me of the folks who get upset if someone wears a jersey or jorts. What's the point of being so petty about what other people say or wear?

I went to South and got a Masters from Berkeley. I wouldn't set foot back on Cal's campus if it were burning to the ground and I was the only one who could save it. My dad raised me a Bama fan and I say us and we occasionally.

Say whatever you want. It's not a big deal. The only time I've ever avoiding saying "we" is when talking to a current player.
