Love to have them. Move AU and UA to the east, those two and Mizzou to the west. Would be great.

We're already superior and it's already a pain in the arse to have to fly out to Mizzou every other year. frick going to Norman or Austin. If I can't drive there in a single stretch, they don't belong.

Once they join us, they will change. Don't judge them just yet. They could/wlll be GREAT addition to an already GREAT conference. I would love to compete against those guys.

OK, so whose alter is this guy? Killz? An Arky?

If we did what I posted, the traditional SEC teams would be in one division together (sorry LSU). The two divisions would only play in ATL.

So... basically make all the SWC/Big 12 teams go back to their own conference where they belong?

Yes, and take LSU and the Miss schools.

Too bad Big Daddy Slive doesn't bang the same gong y'all are.

frick that. We're already the most profitable conference in the league. Why would we dilute that by adding two major pains in the arse that have absolutely no regional, cultural, or historical relevance to the original SEC?
The only teams I'd accept adding are from NC or VA and even then I'm not crazy about it.

That is why you fail. Think ahead. These are two PERFECT schools for us. Politics aside. Things change. These are great additions and a great fit for everyone.

No, they're not. And you have yet to present a decent argument as to why they would be.

Things change.
What things? Are Austin, Texas, and Norman, Oklahoma slowly drifting Southeast due to tectonic plate shifts? Are the Texas and Sooner programs becoming less and less full of themselves? Because unless both of those conditions are met, frick them.

No

frick no

The 'sips?…..sure, but you'll have to stick them in the SEC East. They certainly won't want the competition in the West.

PERFECT! You just don't see it yet. Great additions!

Texas would be a terrible for a new conference mate. I know they won't always suck, but there really is a level of arrogance there that is pretty unmatched.
And I don't even say that as an insult. It's an incredibly proud fanbase. They absolutely think they have a right to the best recruits, their own network, etc. a lot of A&Ms smack talk like "we run this state" is in response to the "we're Texas," "A&M is a sliver of East Texas," and "we're the Jonses" comments. No arguing that they are a profitable product, but taking them in is probably not in the best interest of the SEC
Honestly, oSU and Texas Tech, while regionally aren't a fit, their fanbase is (out of the Big XII.) Obviously VT or NC State would be a better move.
I'd love to trade SCe for Clemson.

Oklahoma isn't going to any conference that doesn't contain Oklahoma State and Texas.
Pointless thread is pointless.

I was in Austin yesterday and tailgated for a bit. It's hilarious how not-SEC it is.

frick Teas. They were too elite to join us in 2011. They look down on us academically and culturally.
They deserve everything they get.
