When UGA was #1 in the CFP

was it because they were the best team or most deserving team? Washington and UM both had better wins and were also undefeated. Were they not “more deserving” of the #1 ranking at the time? I do not trust this committee to pick the four best. My four best, not considering any of the BS CFP nonsense:
Washington
UGA
Bama
UT
In no particular order.

Saban has literally said in the past that he has the best team and they would be favored over other playoff opponents.
And then he beats the "pick the 4 best teams" drum.
It has nothing to do with how betting works.
It has everything to do with how Saban will change his story to fit his current team (to his credit, he didn't say this last night. But Bama fans sure are)
