When Saban leaves does Bama do we go back to mediocrity?

I think we hire a top notch coach who can recruit. The dynasty will end but we will never again drop below a consistent 10 win program. Thoughts?

Lane should do alright, but not 10 wins per year.

False.

I used to think Dabo was a joke, but he has managed to sustain success while changing coordinators on both sides of the ball. To me, that is the key indicator that a head coach knows what he is doing. Bama will be very successful with him at the wheel. Not Saban-level success, but still a top program. The only question will be whether or not he can handle the pressure of following one of the greatest coaches of all time.

how long did it take you to find a replacement for the bear?
yeah you will go back to mike shula type mediocrity.
saban's a once a generation type coach.

Ridiculous. College football is cyclical. Bama will have some struggle years at some point after Saban leaves.

Y'all will go through a LOT of coaches in a short time period after Saban leaves, highly doubt that the first hire post Nicky comes in and does a satisfactory job. A coach needs everyone to buy in to be successful and achieving that is almost impossible after a legend leaves

No definitely not. Definitely at least a ten win team. Bama will always sustain a contending program because I also think they will hire a slam dunk to back up Saban but I dont think they will maintain elite status. As in won't recruit as good but will always be in the top 10 shite top 5 maybe. But definitely more losses compared to what they're putting out yearly with Saban.

I sincerely hope Dabo would get Bama job.
Definitely be entertaining and complete opposite of Saban persona.

I know this was a troll job, but saban was not a legend when he left us. He cemented that at bama. But it did happen to us when skip left.

Just depends on the hire. Situations at Florida and Texas prove that anywhere is susceptible to a poor decision in a coaching hire. Alabama has no more inherent advantages than those two. If Alabama hired someone equivalent of Miles, that would probably be considered a really good situation considering just how difficult it is to find a truly great coach.

Sabin is such a control freak that there will be a huge power vacuum when he leaves. That is going to create some instability at least short term.
