If we can continue this for five more years and win at least 3 or 4 more bcs bowls and 1 or 2 more national championships then it will be a dynasty.

If we win it next year, it's a dynasty.
Three out of four?

Definitely. 3 out of 4 is a dynasty.

You mean this year? Sure, dynasty.

1 deserved natty and 1 sec in 5 year does not equal dynasty

When I think of dynasties I don't think of a coach begging his way into a rematch after losing to a team led by Jordan Jefferson.

You gumps have no memory. It wasn't lsu fans or coaches whining and crying and begging last December, looking for a handout.

How did Alabama beg? They were selected to play in the Championship because it was designed for the two best teams to compete for the National Championship

Bama has had a great couple of years but dynasty? Not even close
Not close to a dynasty? If we win a NC within the next 2 seasons, that would be 3 in 5 years. Would you not consider that a dynasty?
I agree we're not their yet but I'd say we're very close to one.

This team has not lost a game in regulation. I know it does not mean much to you guys (media.) The point is, in a 60 minutes game, we play as competitive as we can be. There is not a team that we have played that has bested us in the first 60 minutes. If you had to look at the length and width of the game, that is how it is measured. Then you go to overtime, and I think our overtime system is just as flawed as any other overtime system. It’s just the way it is and it is probably correct. You have to decide it then where it takes the length of the field and certain situations out of it. It is imperfect, but a darn good system. You tell me if there are other teams in this country that can say that. If you just give us ties, like in the old system, we are undefeated with two ties. Maybe that adds up as one lost.

I can tell you this, that they have a much easier road to travel. They're going to play real knockdown drag-outs with UCLA, Washington, Cal Berkeley, Stanford- some real juggernauts...if they win a game or two, that they'll end up in the title game.

And Miles was rightly lambasted for his statements in 2007 about losing in OT. Every lsu fan I know cringed.
2007 demonstrates the preferential treatment Bama got last year. No eyeball tests were used. Ohio St and lsu were selected on basis of their resumes--you know, strength of schedule and quality WINS. I guess strength of losses was considered but it wasn't the sole factor. Pundits thought USC and Georgia had the eyeball test but no one seriously thought of putting in a division runner-up...
