The NCAA screwed this up if this rule would have been passed 8 months ago and the 5th year player went pro they wouldn't have a leg to stand on, but the NCAA just passed the rule while player are in traing camp.

LSU couldn’t play them regardless of any ruling anyway. There is an onboarding procedure and a deadline. The new players would not be on campus long enough to compete in the ClemPson game.

Returning to college athletics from the pros has happened for decades. Before it would be someone in triple a ball coming back to play football.

Probably the crux of the lawsuit will be were the athletes professional in college is there a compelling competitive advantage for those returning that wasn’t afforded to the college athletes and was the rule and exceptions permitted to date similar to the exceptions before the court.
